88 sounds a little warm. Not so bad when you're within inches of the bulb but we want to be as close as possible.
There's two things you can tweak if needed:
2x passive intake isn't a rule but it's a good general tip. We're talking square inches so eight 1" holes is much less than one 8" hole.
You can cool the hot spot with a pc fan, either blowing directly on the bulb or between the bulb and canopy.
If by chance you can't rock within 2" of the bulb, don't worry. Close as possible is best, even if it's 3 or 4 inches. Some strains are more prone to heat stress, you may have to compensate.
