Hopefully this demystifies what makes the smaller Panasonic Whisper fans special.

FV-08VK1
Static Pressure (in inches w.g.) 0.1
0.25
Air Volume (CFM) 80 @ 0.1" static pressure
82 @ 0.25" static pressure

Noise (sones) <0.3 at 0.1" static pressure
Power Consumption (Watts) 11.1 at 0.1" static pressure
21.5 at 0.25" static pressure
Energy Efficiency (CFM's/Watt) 7.2 at 0.1" static pressure
3.8 at 0.25" static pressure
Speed (RPM) 733 at 0.1" static pressure
987 at 0.25" static pressure
Current (Amps) .09 at 0.1" static pressure
.17 at 0.25" static pressure
Power Rating (V/Hz) 120/60
Motor Type DC
Type of Motor Bearing Ball
Thermal Fuse Protection Yes
Blower Wheel Type Sirocco
Duct Diameter (inches) 4"

Now compare it to the FV-08VQ3

Air Volume (CFM) 80 (57 at 0.25" static pressure)
Noise (sones) 0.3
Power Consumption (Watts) 22.8 (22.6 at 0.25" static pressure)
Energy Efficiency (CFM's/Watt) 3.5 (2.5 at 0.25" static pressure)
Speed (RPM) 716 (909 at 0.25" static pressure)
Current (Amps) 0.19 (0.19 at 0.25" static pressure)
Power Rating (V/Hz) 120/60
Motor Type Condenser

It is the variable speed DC motor which allows for it to maintain the rated air flow.

Looks nice and crowded in there. What's the flavor?
I'm stoned at the moment from 2+ week cured harvest buds.
:smokeit:

This run is same batch of 2 different cloned plants. 4 of each.
A cross I did using that 9 year old Vegas bagseed mother and a White-Widow male. Germed 5 seeds, got 3 females, kept 2 to clone due to potentcy, quality+finish time.

1 finishes in 10-11 weeks, the other finishes in 12-13 weeks. Both are different highs n flavors but are top notch in my opinion. The 10-11wk plant smells like skunky grapejuice while the 12-13 wk plant smells like spicy piney cinnamin.

I have 11 StrawBerry Diesil x StrawBerry Cheesil females outside also. I also have 8 vegged clones ,<4 of each> from indoor plants going outside this weekend to flower outside. :)

sorry for the bad link guys, strange it did not work :(

the name of the lamp is SDW-T 100watt

if one search "[PDF] 3374 opm. OEM SDW-T" in google its the first hit, a long pdf file containing all info on the bulb, maybe someone can look it up and tell me what thy think? :)

I'm currently without a grow op of any kind but I was looking into doing a dual 150w lamp setup (one MH and one HPS) for one cab and possibly and 150w MH or CFL veg/clone cab what do you guys think? It very obviously needs to be decently sized while remaining closer to micro grow status would I be too much for the club or right along the lines? either way I saw some posted photos and was rather impressed any and all considerations especially innovative ideas are greatly appreciate as this next grow needs months of planning and preparing before I start. Sounds good. Dual 150's is still a 150:) ..

I think members Propoline and Piosh were using dual 150's on grows so check few pages back to see all the glory.

Thanks haha and I will as soon as I gather the motivation to sift thru the 100+ ? pages of posts here. By the way I saw some of your posts and was rather impressed keep chuggin' and good luck to you in future endeavors. Shoot some nice big n' heavy colas sound good about now.

I have two seedlings under my 150w HPS in a cab. 12"x12"x36" The grow space is small square footage wise but tall, trying to think of the best way to utilize this space.. I dont have cam now but I'll post some pics later

150watts in that space is utilizing the bulb/lumens bigtime. Given 36 cab height, take pot size and ceiling space for light/etc etc in account and what are you left with for actual grow space?

I guess with 2 seedlings, veg then flip to 12/12 to find female/males .. from here you can take clones if you choose to utilize space with a 16oz cup SOG later down the road ... OR after you find your female you can transplant it in the biggest pot you can and either flower it out as is or veg it out more with some LST, then flip the switch back to 12/12.

If I were using that small space I'd definately fill it with clones in 16oz cups. That's how I'd utilize it.

So it has a built in AC/DC converter?

This is a surprise to me. I haven't been impressed with the way DC fans handle static pressure in the past.

Thanks catman.

I am sorry I didnt clarify, that is my usable grow space haha like 1 sq foot and almost three high. The light is mounted on top to reduce heat and give more room in the cab. It has its own fan blowing across the top and stays very reasonable. I was thinking maybe taking it apart and going verticle, but probably not... It is one of those sun lamp all in one deals, got it real cheap. Also thinking of supplimental lighting in the form of cfls along the divider.

There is another side, a little smaller sq, same height. I am thinking of splitting this side into a seedling area and mother area. I have fixtures wired up now, just not sure how I want to utilize them.

Soo, what is the best way for me to maximize my height potential?

100+ lumens per square inch is nice if you can manage the heat/humidty levels. You have quite a lot of headroom which is better than having too little thats for sure. Given the height allowances you could veg in 16oz cups and then transplant to 32oz cups right before flowering as long as they don't stretch too much. 12x12 would usually fit 9~32oz cups and they are usually 7-8 inches tall which may keep you in target range of your bulb.

Get some pics, it would be cool to see this get up and running.

awesome man, I will have pics by the weekend hopefully. Thanks for the info I stumbled across the 16oz challenge and saw some crazy plants in 16 oz beer cups. I have a five pack of femmed Ice and a five pack of Mandala Safari mix. I germed two of the mix and one of the Ice, but one of the mix has not yet come up.

I am thinking about germing one more Ice and one more of the mix and trying the 32oz cups with only four or five plants.. Get an idea for the cab and get some clones and probably try and keep an Ice mother.

I would think the 150w would have enough penetration in such a small area? I just keep seeing this tall skinny space and wonder how I am going to fill it.

I trim everything that's more than 12 inches below my light....but that's just me... I know there are others here who would disagree with that.

I would grow out whatever germs, take cuttings and label them, veg your cuttings, flower the donors, see what grows the best and keep that as your mother.

You have the makings of a simple perpetual grow if you choose. Getting the veg time/canopy height might take a few cuts but harvesting every few weeks is a nice bonus.

sounds beautiful, lets see if I can make this happen

Satori sounds like a good strain for like the backbone of my grow.. Always there and always producing, I can fit the more specialized stuff around it. Also seems to be a nice daytime smoke, something that was missing with the Ice.

Alrighty, so I'm still in some planning stages for a small cab. I think I mostly need some help with the air circulation/scrubber end of it. I'm fairly adept to making things myself but I'm having trouble planning with concerns over heat, exhausting air, carbon scrubber. (I mostly wanted to combine these into one for multiple reasons) I'm mostly having trouble with making something as compact but effective as possible. I can't have ANY smell or much of lights leaks as it does need to be very stealthy as often is the case. As it stands I believe I have a good dimensional idea for a LST SOG (possibly scrog later with a lil more practice runs out of the way). So far the dimensions of the grow portion of the cab are 2' H x 2' W x 16in D and I have a hood built for the top that will hinge open that rather triangular in shape for a fixed light which is an additional 10in H x 13.5in D . I'll already have an intake vent that is light blocked I'm just having troubled with the other end I'll try to post a diagram here soon but ANY help or even ideas are greatly appreciated.
