id say that with icecold crickets auto flowring method in terms of plant count(numbers) ,, switched to a vertical circular style stadium grow, that a 150 is capable of yeilding around 7 ounces every 65 days with a decent autoflower variety. nobody on the 150 thread but a few grow circular and those that do never have two rows of plants even though a 150 will light up 2.5 ft of space very nicely.

Well, I'd say the key would be very short plants and a cool tube. I just switched back to horizontal, the plants got too tall and I was seeing an unhealthy stretch, and a drastic reduction in growth and transpiration rate. If I try vert again, it will be set up the way Prop is doing it (very clean look man!)

I'll give it a shot again in the future with proven cuts.

grumblez, I've seen much messier lol Your sativa has a long ways to go for sure. Your going to want to harvest that one when the majority of the trichs are cloudly. I'll tell ya from my experience if you harvest a sativa a week or two early it isn't going to be nearly as good.

I'm gonna let her go a while...I do not have a scope so I will watch the calyx's as they swell to get an indication of completion. Had I not put her on her side those colas would be holy crap big.

I am thinking another 4 weeks would not be out of the question on that one. Those branches sure are loaded with buds and I hope I like the smoke. That was a breeder pack seed so I have no clue what she will do to me...eheh. If it is nice I hope a reveg will take...

I am thanking my lucky stars that only ONE plant got pollinated from a couple of weeks back...this could have been a disaster.....

whats up everyone, im an old OG lurker and im tryin to get into indoor growing. can anyone tell me the minimum space i could put a 150w hps in without it overheating? im thinking of getting this light http://www.hidhut.com/catalog/150w-...ulb-and-glass-tube-reflector-combo-p-409.html and i need to have a stealth grow in my closet so size is an issue. ive got some auto fem ak47 beans on the way from attitude seeds. i would prefer to grow 2 plants at a time. all help is appreciated

I've seen excellent results in a box as small as 14wx14dx24h. It does take a good ventilation plan to handle the heat, but it can be done. Just go back thru the pages of this thread and you'll see some top-notch smaller grows with detailed information.

wow, took a while, but i just finished the 150w thread!!! long time lurker, seldom pic poster. but, thats about to change. i want some input from you guys & pics are the only way to get the job done. so expect more soon.

question - i came across very pure, fine grade silica mineral. i have about 20oz of it, not much, but enough to do something. i am wondering what are some of the uses of silica. could it be used as top dressing for aphids/gnats?? will it cut those fockers exoskeletons like DE or should it be used as a supplement nute wise or what?? any info on the silica mineral would be great. i have attached a pic below of the silica.

check hoosier daddys ventilation 101 link. bottomline, you really only need one fan, for exhaust. you could make your intake, at the bottom, 2x the surface area/size of your exhaust orifice. as long as there is cool air going in at the bottom & the hot air exhausted up top, you should be fine in a small enclosure. i have done this with just a single computer fan. but, the whole box was entirely sealed besides the intake vents. now, i usually have a single pc fan at the intake, another pc fan blowing at the bulb/canopy & a pair of pc fan exhausting out the top. i tried calculating it, & figured i exchanged air within my enclosure over 3x/minute. thats the goal i try to reach hence forth. its all about air movement. blowing random fans & not planning just causes turbulence & does not achieve actual air exchange which is needed to cool a specified area.

Hey guys n gals! Enjoy seeing the new grows and updates this fine evening. Heres 4 clones in day 7 or 8 of 12/12. Getting wild, Lst'd and getting lotta budsites and I plan on more lst'ing as a few more days of stretch are left. Will be taking clones of each and placing those outside in May at my outdoor growspot along with seed grown plants as I'm looking for keepers in the fruitbowl of seeds.
Plants are not overferted/overwatered if lookin saggy.. they just got watered and misted with a light compost tea before pics and are back to having perky boobs again. 4fuCn20

bro, steer clear!!! that is an outrageously expensive price. you could get a 600w hps for that price man!!!!! sheeeeesh, if you only want a 150self enclosed hps, try the self enclosed Sun System 150. it could be had for around $70-100. no wiring, nothing.....just a heavy duty 3 prong timer. the timer is a constant, so irrelevant really. but, you can even find security lights w/ 70-150w for like $40, but they require some wiring. not much whatsoever though. many tutorials here to help you. do not spend over $100 on a 150w system tho bro, just not worth the money when you can get a 250 or 400 for a few bux more.

yea but im dealing with a small space so im tryin to go with remote ballast, plus that one is digital and comes with cool tube so itll be even less heat. how much you think itd cost total to make a 150watt hps with remote ballast and a cooltube? i was thinkin at least around 100-130 with all the supplies and then it still wont be a digital ballast. you have links for any cheap easy to wire 150's? iv never done indoor before and i wanna do this shit right
