15% is really optimistic imo. Mexi bricks avg 3-5% thc. And realistically you need to shave weight for the rocks, twine, bugs, seeds, and whatever else was pressed into that brick/bale. That's what got me into growing, the inconsistency of what I was getting from down south.

Lots of good farmers and weather south of Ensenada - grapes, vegetables and otherwise. Stopped at a llantera about mid-pennisula once a few years back. Guys had their feet up passing a sloppy joint around. I was surprised by their stash, not very dense but frosted up and very fresh. Smoked ok, definitely more than 3-5%. My guess is they just need to invest in some jars

Still...when I offered to trade some of what I had brought they started drooling. They pointed to the mountains and said $200/lb, if I wanted more.

Seem to prefer mexi brick weed as many want the mellower high less THC then the high THC level new hybred are getting that the younger gen are wanting
Also even thou you may find who knows what in the bail for weight purpose ??
by the time the average smoker gets it that shit is out of there least from my experience smoking this stuff brings back the memories when i was a kid fun times
but at the end of the day lots of people are living paycheck to paycheck
So in reality spending 50 bucks for a OZ is more common sense then 200 + oz to get the same result HIGH

Traditionally the plants have been cut and dried in piles in the field, so they naturally pick up debris and degrading the final product. I've had great bud from mexico, i've also had hemp. I've had seedless, and i've had it so seeded i had to break everything down to popcorn. You get what you pay for indeed. The quality of the high is so different from what i smoke now I would pass on 99% of what's coming out of mexico. Then i'm still passing on that 1% because i don't support cartels. Buy American! lots of cali farmers giving bud away cheap.
