I am wondering why it's saying someone else edited my pots. I would like to know the reason why my posts are being edited? Am I saying something wrong?????????? Never mind I see where u combined my posts to make the thread shorter. Sorry for jumping the gun, and thanks for helping LEDGirl!

I'm off to work, will chat more on the rest of this post, when I get off. But I felt it important to telll u NO GRAVITY ON WEEK 7! Just go back to nutes bro. At that point u'll be wasting ur money. And might who knows, something in gravity might affect ur smoke taste if applied that late. Not saying that's a fact, but they say 3 weeks from harvest. I do 4 weeks from harvest cause I run 12 days in Hydro. BUT DO NOT OVER DO WITH THE GRAVITY!

OK Got the Gravity In there!
1ml per Gallon, I got 15 Gallons = 15ml
Wow that's crazy, I usually put 600ml of nutes in that much water!
The canopy is defiantly not as even as I would like. I needed to veg these a bit longer before I made the second pruning as well as just a bit more in general! Plus I tested the Fim Technique in one corner and that worked but shortened those brances lol! I am not done with the FIM technique yet, it may just be my bread and butter someday!
Still looks like I will get a nice yeild but I doubt I will beat the last grow. Who knows though this gravity could make up the difference.
Not sure how much I like the Custom White Balance for the LED shots! Looks like they would look pretty cool with some 3d glasses ya know! Anyone got a pair??
Well I am going to try a few more times with this camera white balance thing see if I can get em any better, otherwise I will have to go back to supplemental lighting. For some people these may be good enough though!!
I still feel there's something to learn with this white balance adjustment, maybe we can see where the light isn't reaching better with this. the pics seem to be dark in the lower branches with this setting but there purple as ever on a regular camera setting..

Thanks! yea I tried putting the max amount of base nutirents in the res ontop of the koolbloom. Doesn't seem like it helps much! I willl be turning them back next time for sure. I was putting in like 175ml of bloom last grow, this time about 300ml. no change really.
This is the money week if I remember corectly so wee should see some nice growth by next week..+
The leafes by the light always get a little burnt! so if I was really drownding it with nutes wouldent they be burnt on the tips further down the plant? - just trying to learn here...
And that last grow I doubt it had minor calcium def, I think it's from the lights being to close. I saw the same spotting on a few leaves on a vegging plant with PLENTY of calcium in the base nutes.. Same with this grow, I mean it had 150ml of floromicro in there! plenty of calcium!

Fascinating thread. Great cab, and I like the fish tank! Sorry I'm a noob but how much light can the roots be exposed to in a glass res. before it starts to contribute to algae growth? There's enough nutrient discussion in here to warrant it's own thread, but that's not a bad thing at all. Tuning in!

Well I haven’t seen algae on it yet, but it gets a clean out every 2 months…
The tank has black vinyl all over it except the front there, but that’s usually covered by a false cabinet drawer.
I will be taking that fish tank out of my garden next grow. I though it would be nice to have because it held more nutrients and I had no room for a reservoir. To bad the roots grew together and now I can’t spin my plants…
Also in the cab I had no room to lift plants out of their DWC buckets to inspect roots, made the tank useful in that aspect. Now in my new setup I will have the room to lift them up out of a bucket.
I can’t spin my plants, doesn’t seem like to big deal if you knew your strain well. But either the more potent nutes or the kool bloom caused my strain to have about double or more hermies!! And since I couldn’t spin the plants a few got away! I can see about 10 -12 seeds in my cab!
I am going to start a thread on 5 gallon buckets someday but trust me, their sick for my style grows!! Never under estimate the power of a 5gal bucket!! I am sure I could use a 3 gallon but I won’t need to. Wow it’s so strange having a few extra inches to work with!!!!
Thinking about using that tank for an experimental DIY aero setup some day, its 15” high. Pirate has an amazing tutorial on building Aero..

Nice cab grow mean bean. You almost hit 1 gram/watt last time that's not too shabby!
You mentioned possibly using an attic in a place with 4 seasons. You are right it is challenging, particularly in the summer. I am a very energy conscious person so being forced to grow indoors irks me to begin with, but the idea of using AC irks me double.
The best thing to make an attic grow is a well insulated grow chamber. You can get 4' X 8' X 3/4" sheets of mylar covered foam at LOWES for about $13 each. They sell Eastern White Pine (EWP) boards that are easy to cut and easy to screw into that can be used to slap up a frame.
Using this method I have been able to avoid using separate heaters or AC units, but I have had to find an air intake from the cooled air below in the summer. This allowed me to keep the chamber temps under 95f during the hottest summer days and about 85f during regular summer days. Excessive heat can cause stretching, fluffy buds, difficult trimming and can also encourage hermies.
Attic growing in winter is great because you can let nighttime temps drop down low (or not) if you like to encourage extra color in the ladies. It seems like buds with a lot of color in the calyxs have a sweeter aroma and taste. I'd use words like grape, cake, kool aid and candy to describe the smells I have come across. One individual I came across absolutely refused to turn purple. It was getting nighttime temps down into the 30's. Ironically it was from a strain called New Purple Power.
Keep in mind all my info comes from organic soil so may or may not apply to hydro. From what I understand soil temps below 55f can adversely affect soil ecosystems so that might be a contributing factor to the extra color?

I will admit his roots do look damn good. I'm pretty impressed that he hasn't had any algae problems with a see thru res.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Dude I wanted to comment on being careful with light in ur res, but I saw u were in week 4 of flowering, so why was I gonna comment on something that wasn't giving u a problem? But it all makes sense to me now! By the way...... Do u feel like ur flowers have "swelled" up, in the last few days? Sorry I haven't been on here for a few. Been gettin ready for my first Cali trip. Yeah BOI! Goin 2 San Jose, then San Fran for a couple days, then up 2 MT. Shasta for a day, then heading to Vegas to see 311, for 311 DAY! Yeah BOI! Then headin back to the Cali coast and makin my why up the coast, for a few days, till I arrive in Half Moon Bay to then head back to San Jose to come home. Can't wait, dude! Well let's see some current pics bro! Can't wait to see ur final buds. I just harvested 1 of my Fuzzy Mango's, and it's been hanging for 2 days now. I also have my Strawberry Haze in darkness for 2 days now. Haven't decided if I'm gonna harvest 2night or 2morrow night. I'll decide here soon. Then when I harvest the Strawberry Haze, I will put my other Fuzzy Mango(which is a different Phenotype than the other 2 Fuzzy Mangoes. It's actually more Sativa, than the other 2), into 48-72 hours of darkness. And after that, it will be the Arjan's Haze, and the last Fuzzy Mango, then followed by the Pineapple Express. All will be done in less than 2 weeks. So I'll be busy for a few, but I will be popping in here often, or try to at least. Peace! 3-11, 3-3-11! I know DAMN 311 U WENT ON A RAMBLE AGAIN.
