Really, Sleepy?

In the thread, Cannacopia Seeds Test Grow- Genius x Deepchunk, in post #18, you posted photographs of plants that sprouted on 9/13/08 and 22 days later looked as big as the plants in your latest photos in this thread which were taken on day 30.

well...here are those pics:

KindBudKid!!>>welcome to my test!! :rasta:
nycdfan042!!>>hey, thanks!! i liiked growing the green goddess... :joint:
still vegging along...still have 10 little ones... :jump:

they look pretty good...

i topped half, and left the other 5 alone...fed them all with some ATAMI Root Stimulant...keeping the pH stable in the 6.0-6.5 range...

i took some pix last night...

peace.
:joint:

i don't think they look as developed, nor as healthy as these:

but i am biased...

i will concede a setback due to low temps during this test...but they have rebounded quite well after adding the heat mat.

i will post some new pix tomorrow.

Bobby Stainless!!>>...i like the genius x deep chunk a lot!!...easy to grow, and really fine herb.
Dr Dog!!>>...thanks, old pal...hope you have a good one, too...even if you don't go see your mom...:xmasnut::gift:
shaunmulok!!>>glad to see you!! tell mel and the kitties i said 'hi'!
hey, theres ellie!!!...great to have you along for my test.

Props to your pioneering spirit. Also, that's a real testament to your experience and knowledge focusing in right away like that as needing that heat pad, so early on, thereby averting problems by wasting time trying to fix something else that wasn't needed anyway, and mabe causing other problems. I have a question about the distance the light needs to be from the plants. Do you think it would be any advantage to getting the lights as close to the plants as possible, sort of as it is with a CFLs? Since heat isn't so much an issue, I would think the closer, the better, for penetration as well.

qdavid!!> i have the light 7 inches above them now...they seem happy...thank for the nice words.

i took some pics earlier...they look nice and green!

interesting how they look directly under the light...they look very strange...

all have been watered/fed with liquid karma and pH'd to 6.0

and under the light...

but.. i.. cant.. need.. porn.. now.. oh wait was it root porn? what a jib ;)

The leaves/leafstructure seems odd compared to HID grown, kinda shiny, sligthly curling and fat? any thoughts on that sleepy? anyone? would you guesstimate faster than average, compared to HID, growth during veg? (after addition of the heatmat naturally)

Strains!!>>well, i think they look tons better than my plants under the T5 at the same stage...some will argue, but i am looking at the plants in person, and they look amazing...almost like fresh spinach!

this is one post where some will say that a direct head-to -head comparison would have been better...:elf:i am simply not set up for it.

either way, as you can see, this plant has an impressive root mass and is overdue for transplanting into a larger container...i will repot this one and evaluate the other three.

i will update after repotting.

peace.

They are going to take off after the transplant happens mine sure did and the side branching is out of control. It is time I learned about doing some LST training.

Keep it rocking Sleepy.

Sour 60 at 28-29 days from seed on 24/7.

Your plants do look "green" - when they aren't under the led's that is.

Almost look like they are fake.

You are smokin now.

but i am biased...

Biased against your own plants?

It does look there is more internodal development going on with the LED grown plants and the leaves are different, but I think I see 5 leaf sets in the first pic and 5 in the second.

Needless to say, they look good and health in both sets.

rock on, brothers and sisters...

rock on, brothers and sisters...

ok, i repotted them...almost suffered a casualty...:tree:oops!

i set the light a bit higher...in an attempt to get a little vertical growth.

i had no idea how challenging the low temps would be...oh well...its all part of the test...

here are a few pictures...repotted yesterday...watered in with: hygrozyme; liquid karma; cutting edge solutions' grow; cal~max(with iron)...pH'd to 6.8...

peace.

here's the runt...i hope she will make it, i kinda almost dropped her while repotting and she suffered a serious bend to the main stem (hence the skewer)...
ouch!:xmasnut:
