@Cannibusdog - I was planning on picking up some overdrive as it is only used two weeks prior to flush.... I was also going to grab a flushing agent.

Anyone use overdrive? I usually just flush with LOTS of water, but was thinking about grabbing some sledgehammer or final phase... is this stuff really needed?

Also, the bud candy seemed to be a carbo load... so I decided to finish off the bottle of Humboldt Honey ES I had, it's mainly molasses and should work well.

@socbutter - THANKS MAN! much appreciated, I've been trimming the bigger fan leaves that block any penetration.... also, I've been cleaning out all of the popcorn producers from the inside... so most of the canopy is on top. I wanted to do a Scrog screen, but I reall like to have be able to move 1 plant out at a time and inspect for bugs while trimming and taking care of them. So far, I'm very happy with the T5's.

@ pearlemae - Do you do anything special with your plants to make the T5's more effective? I've heard most complain about penetration, but everything is looking great over here...

KillerWeed31 - Thanks Bro, much appreciated.

Lot's more Frost today... Stoked.

Now that I have figured out how I like to use the Advanced Nutrients, I'm pretty happy with the current results.

I decided to add advanced nutrients "Overdrive" to the list and will be starting it soon... It says it keeps flowering going strong for the last 2 weeks before flush.

Still unsure about using a Flushing agent... Any Advice?

If I use a flushing agent, I only do so for 1 week instead of two. I find the stuff takes out the salts faster. If you don't want to use it just do two weeks of plain water.. same results. Main thing is to make sure the salt tastes are out of the plants.

Thanks Dog... I'll Decide later.. Only reason I'm considering is because We are using SOO many additives, I don't want a "nutey" taste. But I appreciate the feedback about the time frame.

One thing that I'm fairly impressed with... The current results with T5 so far into flower... and less lights than we planned.

We originally were going to use 4 T5 lightd.

2 - 4Bulb
2 - 8Bulb

We never purchased the 4th light.

So right now we are using 1 - 8bulb Fixture and 2 - 4bulb Fixtures.

That means we are only using about 864 Watts from Veg to Flower.

We did switch bulbs from the Blue Spectrum to the Red while in Flower.

Hoping for at least 1.5 Pounds. Might be a HUGE expectation... my Roomie was talking the other night.... saying that we would pull at least 3 lbs

Anyone ever heard of 1 Gram per Watt with T5 or Better? The math just doesn't work that well. 12 plants - 864 watts... I cant see more than 1.9 pounds at best.

What do you think?

Seriously Considering throwing a 400w MH that I have into the room to increase the yield.

I'm fully confidant in the T5 but... More Watts More Weight...

Temperature shouldn't be an issue its freaking FREEZING out, and our intake is setup in front of the window... Ill just crack the window a little wider and suck in more cold air.

Anyone out there think that adding the MH Bulb half way through flower will stress the plants out in any way? They have been under Red spectrum T5 bulbs since flower started 31 days ago.

I was just going to go for it.. but alas, lights out at midnight... and it's to late.

I'm on for tomorrow unless there is some problem with changing the light spectrum late in the game.

I don't think it will cause any significant stress, and if it were my grow, I'd go ahead and do it.

Please keep us updated :)

I'd like to see what you get from just the T5's. Then you'll have a baseline to work with and know what to improve after that.

Of course, I understand you wanting to add the MH, more is almost always better....However you seem to be doing better then most T5 grows I've seen and in the name of T5 grow science it would be awesome to see what you yeild and how the quality is from just the T5's.

OKAY you FUCKERS.... haha

My roommate just went and bought another 8 bulb t5.

Because we didn't have all Red bulbs, we staggered every other bulb red, blue, red, blue etc...

There has been some interesting debates about running Blue 6500k HO T5 bulbs the whole way... let's see what both can do.

My lost post was a little hidden by all the pictures... So I'll post it again.

We decided NOT TO USE the 400w MH

Instead we added 1 additional 432 watt HO T5!!!
