10K Maxibloom

I've been lurking since OG days and finally decided to join so that I can help and be helped those who love weed. I'd like to thank Julian, Lazyman, krunch, and others for the inspiration and information. Now on with my non-profit, legal, collective grow!

This is a 10x21 sealed room with a mere 24,5k btu window unit for an ac. There's a 12" max fan fitted with a 10" hepa(dumb i know) hung by a vent in the attic with 40F air coming in. A piece of insulation was placed over the vent to silence the fucker. The ducting is split to two 8's which run thru the hoods and are reconnected at the end of they lights. An 8' max fan sits at the other end of the attic sucking hot air. Constructive criticism encouraged.

5 4x8s sit wooden tables resting on casters. 5 and several 3 gallon smart and root pots(cheap smart pot) were used along with 5 and gallon plastic bag pots and 5 gal tall pots. The smart pots were hard to cram in the 4x8s but the baggy pots have an amazing ability cram and fit many plants in a small space. Masters kushes were placed in the smart pots and the rest were placed in baggys along with some purple mr.nice. 99 nice, 99 master

A Drizair 1200 is used to dehumidify the room, I can't say enough good things about these machines. Spits out water like my merlin. A natural gas gen-2e is used to create 1200ppm of C02. Everything from my ac, dehum, and C02 is controlled by my trusty CHHC-4.

The temps stay around 85-89 and drop to 78 or so over night. Humidity locked in 50%.

The nice was veged for about a month and master maybe 10-15 days under 24/0 with 3k MH. They are in happy frog soil amended with perlite and great white. They received a "handmade", overpriced nutrient sold by Greencoast Hydroponics known as Heavy 16 in veg. Please share any experiences with this product. Roots Excel is also given from time to time.

Life has been better for them in flower, Floramite has ridden the mites(i hope), they have been safe guarded from PM via Banner Maxx( similiar to Eagle only more toxic..), and most importantly they get to munch on MAXIBLOOM. They receive around 800ppm at a ph of 6.5. My tap is filtered through a carbon filter and comes out at 100ppm. I happen to have the new version of Bigbud so that's being implemented as well at 1mL per gallon to start.

I hope that these pictures help convince those skeptical or on the fence about Maxi to try it. What these nutrient companies and hydro shops are doing to the ignorant grower's wallets is a disgrace. No other farmer could maintain if he had to roll with the punches that are thrown by these cold yet clever nutrient companies. This plant is special, but these bitches bitches don't need no "gourmet" or "lab designed" plant food just maxi godamnit!

I actually just heard about maxigro/maxibloom a little bit ago. Seems to work well for people, and looks incredibly cheap. Definitely switching over to it once I've used up all the other nutes I have lying around.

After resizing the hell outta these pics I'm finally able to upload. Here's another room shot. Master at the bottom...talk about handwatering being a bitch..

I also have 650 worth of seed vegging under t5 and some 1k. All fem seed if I remember correctly lol. 10 Super Lemon Haze, 10 Lavender, an 5 urkle crosses, 6 ogs, kandy kush, white domina, and la blanca. The lemon and lavender already smell amazing! They are on about 400 ppm maxi at 6.5 ph in roots organic soil. Their new homes will be in heath style drip system, aero, and/or RDWC

I damn near killed myself hanging that shit.

the gen 2e is finicky when it comes to staying lit, I'd recommend the Sentinel even though it has less burners

Looks fine to me.

Those leaves look like the old leaves that are at the bottom of the of plant that get very little light. IMO You find those every once and while.

i know what your talking about but ive never got burnt zebra striped bottom leaves... seem like another issue to me but i could be wrong...

You are running too low on micro nutrients or the Ph is off and locking out nutrients. Interveinal chlorosis is an iron deficiency and you could be low on Mg and other micros as well.

check ph run off probably 5.5 or lower mag def with some nute burn but check ph run off and ppm of runoff after flushing with plain water. feed in at 6.8 when ur ph issues are solved and keep ppm around 1000

maxi has plenty of mag but the ph drops hard after a few feeding in medium so it gets locked out once you raise it all gravy

Thanks for all the comments guys!

The mites have resurfaced, I hit em with 1/3 strength because that's all I had but plan on scrounging up the money for Avid. I'm doing everything I can to get 10 off this.

I pulled some big fan leaves and bent some of the tops. The nice has a shit ton of popcorn and the master doesn't have the best bud to leaf ratio. Needless to say I'm lovin my mother closet. :big grin: I'm planning on cuttin some of the slh and puttin em in my buddy's aero. I'm gonna set up a 4th scrog net on the masters.

The temps are a bit high.. the ballasts contribute to a lot that...an 8 burner gen doesn't help either. Got her working, had to tweak the heat sensor.

I've been incorporating a little bit of gravity flower hardener so hopefully that'll add grams.

How do you guys suggest implementing the Big Bud? It's the shitty new version.

I'm gonna water tonight and keep the ph around 7, and raise the ppm as well.

Yea it's quite a blast to water with less than a ft in between the tables..

Pics will be taken tonight..

hahaha i hear you about those can filters...i had a helper and still almost killed myself trying to hang it up...

Awww the mites!! Get the avid, I tried everything and they kept coming back until I found avid super cheap on ebay. I bought 2 ounces shipped for about 35, way more than I even needed too. Get the 1/2 ounce pronto for like 10 bucks shipped and say goodbye to your mites.

After using gravity in soil I have to say that i'm not that impressed, I used it in super low doses though for fear of overfeeding. I would definitely cut the usage of it when you start implementing the big bud.

Great grow though!! I'm excited to see how this turns out, I hope you hit that 10 mark!

Here's a lil update

yea i always defoliate the bottom nodes and any fan leaves that are colliding with eachother before flower....as long as you take less than 15% total leaf mass of the plant she will be fine.

Thanks to the advice of others here i've been using mosquito dunks on top of my coco and a floater in the rez as a preventative after seeing a couple flyers in early veg. That seems to be doing the trick here. The only other time i saw a couple reappear was after transplanting. I reapplied the dunks and they were gone shortly thereafter. I'm assuming the adults lived their lifespan out and the young never made it to maturity. Just another option.
