1000w Multi Bucket RDWC

RMCG The temps look ok since it is winter here and cold. They stay in the 60s pretty good.

Mist Hey man thanks for the advice I will stop using the Teas, I did hear that molasses in hydro is just asking for bad bacteria and molds. So I will not put anymore in and will be changing the nutes in a couple of days. But what about the leave curling, it can't be overfeeding with Worm Tea cause it started before I fed with the tea. Another thing about this system is each bucket is connected in a circuit which means each plant is getting the same exact thing and only some plants are showing these signs of browning huh. Thanks for the feed back again Mist totally appreciated.

I used to run several systems that were just like yours with between 6 and 18 plant sites so I know exactly what you are talking about. And the fact that only a few are showing these signs points to a problem with that particular plant site. Have you checked the airstones at those sites? When using nutrients with organic properties like the PBP, with which you use Liquid Karma, the airstones tend to clog faster since the larger particulate tends to settle to the bottom of the bucket and will coat the airstone when the air causes an oxidation effect. THat combined with the organics can cause all kinds of nasties to start forming which any one of could me causing the leaf curling and discoloration. I just got through cleaning my ebb&gro system and had to scrape clean the airstone in my rez in order to get it to bubble right again.
I would take the time to clean each plant site thuroughly and rise the roots too and then change out the airstones before going back with the fresh nutes. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but I assure you it will be worth it in the end and your plants will thank you.
I don't know how you are set for water delivery, but I use a hose adapter on my bathroom sink that is a life saver and only costs about $2.50 at Home Depot. That along with a hose and one of those multi spray guns will make all the cleaning go a lot faster. Once you have everything clean again it will be easier to narrow down any future problems. I am betting that there is a nice layer of residue on the sides and bottom of your buckets?

Isn't hydro fun, LOL!

Make sure you supplement the PBP with Calcium and Magnesium..... if you're using RO water that is. Day 15-40 (depending on strain) really sucks hard on the mag and calcium and PBP doesn't have enough for that.

Its already been adressed but molasses in hydro is not good, one of the best things i bought for my dwc was an aquarium filter pump(submerged type, or be fancy and get an external one), it will collect all debris. Just make sure to clean it atleast once a week.

Greetings friends things are looking great, the ladies are shining. We are just past two weeks vig and things look good. I found out the browning spots and curling leaves were caused by the PH Rising and it was not allowing the plants to absorb Potash or Phosphorus so that is fixed blessings. About a week or so away from switch them over to 12/12. I will have some photos updates soon.

Day 25 Veg

Day 25 Veg

Hey Hey,

My lady's friend came over this weekend and they had a good camera so I finally got some actual quality pics. Here is the first one great shot of the full garden they are all going very well.

So the PH is at a steady 6.1 and the ladies are fed 20ml Gal PBP and 10ml Liquid Karma. The browning on the leaves has officially stopped as well as light colored new growth. The plants are doing great. Here is a few more photos to enjoy. This first one is of some healthy looking roots. It seems the stain on the roots has rinsed away. My theory on this is the brown stuff on the roots was nutrient that was not soluble at the high 7.1 PH. Now that the PH is good it has allowed those solids to dissolve.

The stalks on the Querkle are huge and getting bigger and bigger. Great for delivering sufficient nutrients to the plants.

This is a great learning experience for me. I have never run Hydro before but knew the basic concepts. I now know the smaller dynamics to getting a efficient grow in. Hopefully a friend will show up with a camera next week and I can share some more. Enjoy your time with your family.:smokeit:

None of the hydro-shops have the commercial pump I need in stock, so I won't get it till friday, that seems like the right time to flip these ladies into there stretch.
