Try ACE or Cannabiogen stuff, really they got some nice work in preservating and working in stable lines of landraces as; thai, mexican, colombian, panama, congolese, nepal, haze, etc. Also the tom hill haze is a nice expresion of the real haze that make the legend...
They all have no dutch or US weed taste's and high's and they are also very stable in seedform and they are no nutrient adicts just a goos soil and some flowering feeding to get nice results...

Hello everyone, I am Stash and I am an older grower seed lover. With some seeds that are only getting older. I for years I have been growing out my old seeds so these strains are still around years from now. I have been making seeds and trading or just giving them away for many years now, most of the time giving them away. I no longer have the room that I once had and it has become very difficult for me keep up on these seeds. It's reding post like this one that really hits home. I know that I will never be able to grow out my Sativas and they near to be grown and seeds made and put into many hands that can keep the strains going for years to come. I don't know if there is a group of members here that work together and take on projects. I would like to get some new seeds back, I don't want to send them out and never hear anything ever again. I can't use PM's, I don't have 50 post yet, I've only been here about 7yrs. I know, I know. To get to know me a little beter please look at the thread " cohiba "mom" of white widow " in the Breeders Laboratory. I was going to try and post a pic of most of my seeds but I don't know how to post pic's. Let me know if you can help. Later, Stash

I have my wishlist, but I don't want to spam it here and sell out my pics at the seed shop. :D

flower them 8" high.

I second ACE as a seed company.

Yeah, if you're a true old school sativa lover and you haven't looked into Cannabiogen or Ace you owe it to yourself to check them out. They do good work. I currently have some Ace Panama in early flower and it looks like its going to be amazing.

boy, ain't that the truth...

When I graduated in 1972, I had already decided I would figure out a way to get to Jamaica. It was better than most of the Mex I'd had, with few exeption...Took me 2 1/2 months traveling time to get to Jah in December of 1972...Met a guy way back in the hills with a shed full of shelves full of 1 gallon paintcans...I would bet this "collie" was pure sativa...Full of stems and seeds for sure, but "Gosh Was It Good" i bought half a can from him.. it cost $8 bucks...

Im pretty sure that brown mexican brick weed with all the seeds I used to get back in the day when I was a kid was pure sativa. Man I shoulda kept some seeds. :rasta:

the experience of brick marijuana was always a gamble. i do recall having intense head rushes from smoking high school grade schwag with no body high what so ever. There is no comparison to the medical marijuana i get from the streets now compared to the mids i used to get though. calling reggie pure sativa is just kinda insulting to good pure sativa ganja. Plus, i'm sure you dont miss the old crappy weed TOO much lol.

Those mexican sativas in bricks would have been cut too early and then improperly dried and then transported through means which would have sure degraded the weed.

Plus i cant imagine bricking not knocking off a bit too many crystals.

True sativas can be a kick.

No ceiling and no body high, you just keep on getting higher and you need to stop smoking if you want to fall asleep.

Kinda amphetamine thing about them.

They can be a bit much for someone used to sativas though, you get to miss the body high.

They are great for doing stuff, but tend to give lots of paranoia in public, depending on the person i guess.

They are a bitch to grow indoors though with a 5-6 month flowering period, or more.

Though they can be managed in regards to height and such.

...

that was true sometimes, i remember mexican brick from the 70's
some of it was cruddy/crappy smoke, some was fair, some was good and some you can't duplicate with no steenking hybrid
i have read that making brick is an art form, some can do it and they are few
you need to brick up certain sativa's because there's nothing to them, just some airy pistils per node
compacted just right they will cure and become something excellent

All of the mexi brick seeds I have grown over the past 14 years have mostly grown some big beautiful dank flowers. so far I haven't spent one penny on seeds and I love the flowers I get from them. plus its like opening a gift that u don't know what is and for me they usually turn out dank.

10 years ago I grew some seeds out of a brick of something brown from south of the boarder. the weed was crap but I thought I'd give the seeds a try. it grew into a huge 10 foot tall bush with thin dark leafs. chopped it down Dec. 1st because of snow. the buds looked like spirals of rice with a small red hair on the tip of each one. yield was next to nothing and trimming was next to torcher. the taste was pure incense and pine. the high was unlike anything I've ever smoked since then. you just got higher and higher until you were totally fucked up every time. wow that was some good stuff. I very certain that that was one of the only pure sativa's I ever smoked.

I too have seen an amazing plant grow from a seed out of some really good mexican brick. It was about 20 years ago and the plant was a lot like the one you described. It was a very thin leaved, airy budded sativa. Amazing upbeat effect. To this day it ranks amongst the best and most unique smokes I've come across.

Speaking of unique and awesome sativas, I sampled some early tester buds off of an Ace Panama plant which needs another week or two to finish. Even these early, quick dried samples are amazing. It smells very strongly of pure lemon pine sol and the effect is something special. Very warm and uplifting, like sitting in the high desert sunshine on a warm spring morning. If I take more than a couple of puffs it becomes very floaty and euphoric yet still adventurous and fun. For such a strong effect its really chill. It lasts for hours but when it does finally wear off it does so cleanly with a slight after glow instead of a crash. I think its my favorite at the moment. It works well for depression and at low doses it even can help with anxiety.

@The Hatter

I have recently grown some Power Plant (silver line from spliff seeds, dont know if its the same as dutch passion pp) that gives an activating, clear, uplifting pure sativa high. Its one of my personal favourites for all day puffin now.
People who doesent appreciate the pure sativa high may say its weak, but its not, just another type of high.
Its a heavy yielder and is done in about 9 weeks.
Got no pics but i have a few pps in week 4 now, so i will try to make a few pics before the harvest ;)
Maybe you should give it a go considering the beans are dirt cheap.

we were discussing this the other day amongth 4-5 of us 'older' heads... in the late 60's/early 70's it was all mex or Colombian weed, and sure it was pure sativa... seeds/stems and all.. and quite a bit of it was very good...

today's weed has all been bastardnized... it gets u high, but it ain't the same... to those who say its stronger today then yesteryear I say...bullshit... give me some black Colombian from 69...

2 weeks ago i harvested my micro grow.
it is from a seed, that i take with me from sumatra 1981.
they call it "tripping weed".I had some seeds in the freezer.
the smell is overwhelming, like slightly rotten mandarine or grapefruit, very sirup- sweet. i always hope to get this smell from expansive brand seeds, like soma, but i never had luck. And now my only old landrace, that i have saved, bring me this wonderful experience.
The smoktest was much better than i had expected. It is a very strong, happy, psychedelic high (pink floyds echo was a perfect music for a trip in the past:) , much better then the amnesia haze plant, what stand next to that.
...yes it is a big bullshit to say modern hybrids are stronger.
only the bud size of the hybrids are much bigger.

AGREE... Todays large-size buds can't hold a candle to the small-shitty lookin buds of yester-year...
