Everything has been said by others already, so I won't repeat all the praise, but you do deserve it!!!!RESPECT!!
Could you explain a little about the 20Kw gen, and show us some pictures of how it will be done (sound proofing, exhaust, wireing,...)

thanks, northernlightss......i'll try it. Hopefully I've taken care of it.
Thanks proud daddy...unfortunately I won't have pictures of that. The generator is super quiet and is housed inside another shed. Also it's on 40 acres of raw land, so noise isn't really an issue. It has it's own 1,000 gallon bio deisel fuel tank, we go through 1,000 gallons every 3 months at about $3.25/gallon delivered. I'll look for exhaust and wireing photos.

here's an air wall, the black 6" duct is for the air cooled lights, 3 rows of lights and 3-6" fans. The silver 4" duct is from 2-4"charcoal filters, and 2 are for air in.

This room has 8" fans per row of lights, and a 12" fan and filter above and out of sight, there are 2-6"x14" air openings with screens over them.

here is my standard electrical setup......
A sub panel, 1 or 2 electronic timers, and a bunch of outlets

or.......

I'll look for more detailed photos.......

sonoma dammm ...nice setups!! im trying to grow less plants for legal reasons and right now im getting 1.75oz per plant in my ebb setup... i veg 30 days from seed and flower for 55-60 i grow 6 plants at a time...i was thinkin would it be better if I got rid of my ebb system and grow in 5 gallon buckets plants that I would veg for 6-7 weeks end up 4.5-5 feet and only grow 3 of them would I yeild better or the same?

Hey bandan...thanks.....the yeild depends on wattage and the strain....You can get as low as 1/2 lb per 1000w and as high as 2 lbs/1000w no matter how you do it. Top feed usually does better than most systems. Have you considered using clones? If you used clones you could lower your veg time from 6 weeks to a week or 2. I veg for 1 week from clone, and the plants are between 3"-12" when I change the light cycle, and finish at about 4'. also, you could get another harvest or 2 per year if you did it with clones...

Really professional league Sonoma, you are there with the best in the trade! :respect:
In the future, I am planning on going a little bigger, and I have a suitable location in my mind, but I would have to use a generator.
I have been searching high and low on the net to find some first hand experience with generetors, but I can only find very limited first hand info about running one. So, as it seems that you have some experience in this field, I would appreciate if you can tell us as much as possible about this topic, and show us some pictures.
Pleas do not feel like I am trying to pressure you, I am just very thirsty for knowledge and you seem like a credible source.
All the best to you & your team!

Damb.......I don't deserve it....I'm not worthy...Thanks everyone. The rotty is one of our family members and we love her!!!!Oh, and she'll sit under the trim table and just munch and munch and munch. She prefers stem and leaf over the buds, which is cool with me.
Proud Daddy-I don't have pictures of the generators themselves, but pick a good generator, spend the extra cash, it's worth it. We use generators that cost between $10K-20K, depending on it's use. Basically, the generator sits on a concrete pad, and a shed is built around it, if needed. The shed would need to have air and exhaust, and possibly sound proofing, so it's pretty labor intensive.
Once the generator has a home, it will need a big ass gas tank so you only have to fill it between harvests. 1000 gallons works perfect. Mount it somewhere safe. Basic hardware store items will connect the gas tank to the generator.
now you just need wire to go from the generator to the sub panel in the room. The size wire you use depends on the size sub panel you have in the room, and how much power you want.
This room runs on a generator.......

One draw back with this one is that someone has to start and stop it every day.......We're building another shed so when one room turns off the other will turn on....
This one is always going.........and is quiet without a shed

I am glad to share any information I have on the suject....just ask.....

sonoma,
What brand generators are you using? I don't have the cash now, but I've looked at the units from Onan...someday...
