First post.

My motto thus far:
1. Lurk.
2. Do homework.
3. Bust your ass and spend lots of money at the Depot.
4. Post for feedback.

To Bigtokes,

You and all your followers were the inspiration for this. Your mentoring other systems has been such a great asset to me that I really cant thank you enough. I really dont know how you have the patience for some of the questions that I have seen asked...some people just dont know how easy/good they got it with the wealth of documentation and knowledge that has been provided by you and your apostles.

This has been a project of mine for the last 2.5 weeks...very long nights after work.

System specs:
24 - buckets
1 - 55 gal res
1 - 2400 gal REALLY LOUD mag drive pump

4 - 600 watt with digi balasts

There is other boring things that I'll show later with pics.

Filled it 2 nights ago..so far no big leaks...just a few small ones and I tripled sealed them after draining. This system is mobile...well sorta...I can roll it anywhere on the flat floor with 1 arm. This system also uses a few other modifications that I will be posting shortly...still working on them.

I am going to fill her up again tomorrow and run the system with h202 for a day or 2 then go for the 1-2week run with tap water while I build the room/new INSULATED walls around it...I need some serious insulation due to the sound and heat. God I wish I woulda designed the pump casing to be submerged in another 5 gallon bucket that was external...oh well next time.

I am going to be putting AK47 in it that I got 2 months ago as clones...they were vegged in soil then I picked the monsters of the litter and cloned again for this...kinda new to alot of this but I musta read 2-300 hours on every subject availible...and it all seems to run together in your head when you leave the computer doesnt it...

One question I have is regarding strains that would be best suited for a DWC grow. I would like to get my hands on some M39 due to the turn around time on the flowering...would this make sense to use and does anyone have any other advice on strains for bio buckets?

Well that about all I can think of off the top of my head...but I thought I would share what some computer engineering nerds do when they go home from work.

To everyone in the trenches, keep on truckin!

dude looks awesome, alot work was put into that. Make sure those buckets become light proof, but i'm sure you got that covered. Definately pulling up a chair :lurk:

DAMN NICE. Maybe black out the buckets but bigtoke is the expert here. Still a lot of rewards ahead for that hard work. Much respect.
Peace

Tricky Chap, are you going to pump air in from below? If not, what is the second set of pipes? Nice build, I'm designing mine a bit smaller so I can fit the whole thing on top of a king waterbed frame with liner. If something can leak, it eventually will. Happy buds.

The third pic looks like what the Borg would come up with if they assimilated DWC!
looking good. I hope your first run goes smoothly with minimal glitches. Keep in mind, and i'm sure you have that if res. temps rise you'll be looking at possible root rot forming and may need a chiller or other means to bring the temp down.

Nice, casual recreational setup you got there, I3 :) Beautiful. I can't wait to see how your plants turn out.

What kind of climate control are you using (if any). I just built a little 4 biobucket setup and I found the climate control to be the most difficult (hot, dry, desert where I'm from).

I'm grabbing some popcorn for the show :D
