My First Grow... what do you think

Hey guys hows it going. I haven`t really posted much on ic but I`ve definitely been around the forums a while. I finally got round to my first proper grow. My previous attempt just went terribly wrong. If you ever say a post called `Too weird to live, too rare to die` well yeah I`m the man behind that. My only other two plants turned out to be male. So this is the first time I`ve got some nice ladies going on.

Anyway lets see. The details. I`m runnign some lowryder 2s, I`m sure I`ll get some flak for that but whatever. As I`m sure you can see they`re in soil and about 28 days into flowering in these pics. I need to get some more recent as they`re about 35 days now. I vegged under CFLs and now im flowering under a 600w hps. They're in 2L bottles. Using GH flora nova nutes(damn they're intense).

I`ve got a fruity indica pheno, a fruity sativa pheno and a mango indica pheno. Unfortunately I think the sativa pheno is a bit sensitive to N and got a bit stunted. Otherwise please excuse some tip burns - the light got a little too close at one point.

Anyway please feel free to comment on my ladies. Thanks for all the input.

Thanks jamie supa and mud. I really appeciate all the kind words. This being my first proper time with some ladies - wow that sounds lame if you think about it in general terms and not weed - its nice to hear people think its going well. I'm real excited about harvest right now.

Hey guys its time for an update. First the bad news. I'm noticing some tip burn which makes me think that they probably got too many nutes. Ah well you know you live and you learn. For the next lot I'll definitely take it easy on the nutes. These flora nova nutes are mega strong.

Anyway lets see. We're now at day 34 of flowering. Things are looking good. I took a leaf sample today to put under the microscope. Still mostly clear trichs with a few cloudy. Still got a while anyway.

Anyway here are the pics. I did a little rubbing gander on the leaf near the bud to get an idea of smell. Ill post for each set of pictures the various results. Let me know how you think its coming along. Thanks.

Ok so Mango Indica Pheno:
The rub test just produced this amazing mango smell. But imagine holding a mango and smelling it like that. Then cutting into it and smelling that. Mix those together and thats what this smells like. Oh excuse the leaf that has a random spot with missing trichomes. Thats where I took the smell test a little too aggressively.

Ok next up we have the fruity sativa pheno. This smell test was crazy. I got this mad fruity smell that smelt like fruit roll-up or fruit-by-the-foot. A really artificial fruity smell but in a good way. Im really excited by this one. Here it is.

And finally the fruity indica pheno. The smell test produced a citrusy fruity smell. Maybe like a fruit salad with heavy tones of citrus. Check it out.

Hey dorkvan, qwerty, cocktail. I appreciate the words. For a while didn't think anyone was going to post. But its nice to see that you guys think I'm doing a good job. I flushed the two plants that are farthest ahead yesterday. Gave the third plant a light feeding, since it appears to be about a week behind. Anyway I'm going to try and get some more pics us since some more people have posted. Means someone cares. Awesome. Anyway once again thank you for the replies and I'll see you all in a bit.

Ok I don't have an update with any pics but I thought I'd do a text one anyway. Even if no one is all that bothered, I thoroughly enjoy posting. So here it is.

Today is day 39 of flowering. I haven't been able to check out the ladies just yet, as they're on an inverse schedule with daylight for heating reasons, but last night's viewing was quite enjoyable. Everything is frosting up nicely. Mango pheno's lowest leaves have started yellowing, as is the sativa pheno's. Meanwhile the indica fruity pheno's pistils have started to properly show colour. It can't be too far behind the others.

I had a look under the microscope and the two flushed plants seem to be around about the same point in flowering. I've got mostly cloudy trichs with a few clear still. Having not done this before I'm a little worried that I started flushing too late. Anyone know anything about lowryder and how quickly the trichs start to go to amber from cloudy? Anyway hopefully it will be ok. Im going to let the mango pheno go to about 50/50 amber so hopefully that one will be ok but the sativa pheno i wanted to harvest at about 10 percent amber. So hopefully that will still get properly flushed.

Lastly a question about the behind fruity indica pheno. I kind of want it to have an inbetween high of the other two. I don't know so much about this but math would suggest to me that I should let it go til about 30 percent amber. Does that sound about right? Or is it not so linear in which the sativa high transitions to the indica high? Anyway thats it for now. Ill get some pics up soon. Hopefully someone has some answers for me about my questions. Thanks all.
