My First Grow... what do you think

growcodile... I had read that a lot of people recommend 3 gallon containers for lowryders. Or at the very least a 1 gallon container. I know, 2L is a bit small. But I was a bit constricted with space, and with 2L I could get more depth rather than width. But yeah it would be interesting to see what woudl happen with larger pots. Might try it next run but again I think Ill be space constricted. We shall see. Also the reason I was using a 600 watt hps was that I wasnt alone on this. I grew with a friend and they had some plants in the cab as well. Trust me 600 watt was sufficient and not overkill for what was contained within.

jibman... thanks a lot man i really appreciate it. The first grow is always (as I imagined) something special and Im really excited for the first smoke. That will be going down in the next 5 days. Ok its time. The glorious day arrived. Time to smoke my first grow ever. Awesome, so awesome. So I'm going to put a little smoke report up. For those that are curious and for information purposes. Ill do a separate smoke report for each pheno.

So the sativa pheno. Definitely the least strongest smelling out of the lot. It smelt like the mango pheno just way way more toned down. Taste was similar to the smell. Just toned down also. High wasnt as good as the others, just a calm up high.

Mango pheno. This smelt and tasted amazing. Smelt like a really tart mango. You know sour mango but in a pleasant way. This is what I first smoked. It tasted very mangoy but more creamy than tart. Definitely very pleasant. As for the high. Well at first I got a nice body high, which quickly subsided into a very "up" high. I found myself talking shit but the body high was gone. It was very nice.

Indica pheno. Same as mango in that it smelt like tart blueberries, very sour. But when smoked its a lot more creamy. I havent read anything about this pheno but its defintiely something to keep an eye out for. Simply for the smell and taste. High is pretty much the same as the mango pheno.

Anyway so thats it I guess. I hope I could provide some more info for new growers as well as new growers to lowyrder 2. This strain is awesome. It was really easy to grow. I knew an alright amount about growing - in soild at least - mostly cause I have a buddy who knows a lot about this, but point being, I'm not genius on the subject and it still turned out well for me. Its definitely not the strongest of pots but its really realy nice for a first time round. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Enjoy, I welcome all comments and thanks for following my grow.

ah ok .. about the container size, i think 3 gallon's for lowryders are a bit much .. imho 2 gallons is a good size for most plants without a long veg, i only use more for mother plants ..

congratulations, the outcome is great ... i also remember when i smoked my first own bud .. a true classic moment =)
