Cops came to my house again yesterday.

Did they have a warrant? Count your plants? Weight anything?

This was the second time they came. Both times they basically just counted my plants and told me to have a nice day. No idea how I got on that radar in the first place but this is my last grow in this house without a doubt. I'm basically transferring to the dispensary/grow spot model specifically so I can have some peace and quiet in my own home. I do everything by the books so I have no worries whatsoever about any legal issues but I'm done with getting hassled like this.

And yes, the first time they came they had a warrant

Well what did the warrant say? What did the court documents say? It is documented what information/evidence they told the judge they had in order to get a warrant. You should know EXACTLY how you got on their radar.

And you're saying they violated your civil rights by busting in your house with a warrant that obviously had false info (since you do everything "by the books") and now they just come by whenever they're in the neighborhood? Something doesnt sound right about all this.

Show me where I said they violated my civil rights. They got reports that I was growing weed from a neighbor (which is correct, because I do grow weed), and they showed up to investigate. Since I do everything by the books they left and didn't take a single thing. If everything wasn't by the books I'd be in jail and my plants would be sitting in a police station.

What do you think would happen if the police started busting down doors of gun owners making sure they didnt have to many? This is no different. Why didnt you file a lawsuit?

Seems like I've been through exactly what you are going through. Yes, warehouses can be a pain in the ass but so can neighbors. I don't know how they are going to find out where people grow, unless MMJ patients were dumb enough to put down a real address on their Drivers license that is submitted to the MMR. The drivers license is the only way they can find out your home address. The apps only require your mailing address, which I assume every smart MMJ patient would make sure is a PO Box, and when getting a PO Box you put a fake home address on the app.

That's the only way I see they can find out where MMJ patients live and grow. Unless neighbors are narcing as Canna said, then your scrubber is not working and it smells outside your homes and grow ops big time and you need to reinvest in a Can150 filter and 12" Max Fan.

I must say that the guys that showed up at our door were actually pretty cool for cops. To date the best experience I have had with LEO who were looking at my plants. It helps though that we had all of our paperwork in order and readily available.

nope they just knocked and told us who they were, so I invited them in, I have nothing to hide and I was well within my legal rights.

They told us why they came and who asked them to check up on us, but I will not give out that info on the interwebs.

It sucks how average Americans are so "fat, dumb and happy" that they allow their government to trample on their rights without much protest. Makes it much more work for those of us that actually DEMAND our constitutional rights. No cop will ever receive permission to enter my dwelling without a warrant regardless of what I am doing inside. And if said warrant was attained illegally, or in violation of my constitutional rights, I will spend as much of my time and resources as required to hold said trespassers accountable for their actions.

You always have to show an ID when you get a PO Box even at UPS Store and non-Post office boxes. So, they'll find you if they want to find you UNLESS you use a quality fake ID!

If somebody can't figure out how to acquire a POB without giving up their real address then this might not be the lifestyle for them.

I thought all of your MMJ info was confidential? How are these police getting their info about who/where grows are going down? Whatever address you have on your regisrty card shouldn't be available to police, should it?

this all just doesn't make sense. I think these police visits are stemming from something other than just being on the registry

Its refreshing to see someone who understands and defends their rights. Read the damn constitution and bill of rights people, it applies to you and is there to protect you, no matter how stupid you are (im not calling hoss stupid, quite the contrary).

uh...hmmm. ok. well, i was never really interested in any names. just maybe like, did the dept of health send them, an angry neighbor, those jack asses you chased away from your dumpster, anything that the rest of us can take away from your experience?

Yes, it is supposed to be confidential. But I wouldn't out anything past them, until the lawsuits start coming in that is. Any of the warrants should have all that info regarding why they think you are breaking the law and what evidence there was.
