I agree about the energy thing. But we needed a shock collar for our 125 lb Mastiff Lab mix if he was off leash. He was a runner and liked to go explore. It didn't help that we're in Colorado where everyone loves dogs. He would venture out, find a new place to hang out and they'd call us telling us they had our dog.No training aid works if the owner has weak energy.
He gets angry with the dog and jerks it. That only makes it worse.
The most dangerous dog statistically is an abused male pitbull. I'm on my second one and he is 100 lbs of muscle and speed. But he knows his place in the pack and reacts equally well to my energy or a command.
I heard that about my generation, my son's generation and now I hear my 42 year son call his younger generation lazy. The circle goes round and roundAncient Chinese proverb, it's like how old farts have been bitching about worthless/lazy young people since there's been writing.
It comes down to management imho.I heard that about my generation, my son's generation and now I hear my 42 year son call his younger generation lazy. The circle goes round and round
Mine doesn't fear anything,he was getting pretty bad for a while there, the last time he got goofy I pinned him and it took everything I had to do it and held him there with just my weight and holding his collar and he finally realaxed and showed me his belly,it took a good 15 minutes. He does everything I tell him unless he's bored and grabs something, he steals everything, joints, cig butts, pieces of paper and once he has them he won't give them up without beong a dick. The other day a lady came walking down my road with her 2 labs off leash and he spotted them and took off and I yelled at him and he came back ,thank God,he would have taken all 3 out. He won't let anyone touch him but me,others have tried and he stares at them and growls,he's gotten a lot better in the last cple months,I hope the trend continues. It might sound crazy but we had female lab like this. She wanted to be the alpha and was willing to challenge my wife and I for the position.
1/2 dozen dominance down sessions until she finally submitted.
With a Pitbull dominance down could get ugly, so I use a fireworks popper gun (loud firecracker noise).
3 pits and most I had to use on any of them was twice. After that the sight of it was enough.
Ironically the popper would have never worked on the lab. She loved fireworks and had no fear of thunderstorms.
It comes down to management imho.
The management style of the past does not work on current generations.
Knowing how to motivate and get the best from your workers is the key.
The younger generations are not lazy they just have a different cultural mind set to previous generations due the to environment they were raised in.
It’s now more about collaboration and working in a more flat egalitarian structure as opposed to the old vertical chain of command hierarchy of previous generations imo.
Oh he comes running if I call him, he hasn't been socialized enough with other dogs and he's claimed the whole back road,he walks off leash, fetches, down, stay, anything he's asked, if he sees another dog if on leash walking him he ignores it , if he's offleash on the property he will run it off. He takes his job too seriously,he's pinned to me whenever we are together, I think he claimed me too lol hes 2 1/2How old is he? When push comes to shove, ya might have to take off a flip-flop.
Get 50 feet of cord and do some 'come' exercises 3-4 times a day for 5 minutes. Calm, consistent, repetitive...easy for me to say.

I've worked with young people and some are very productive. My Mrs managed a Subway in the village and over the decade she had many young employees who were good workers. It comes down to management imho.

I won't hit him, he would attack if he got hit and risk losing trust he's got a real strong mind and fears absolutely nothing,he would make a great service dog,he loves heights too ,he will climb up on the roof, I had 2 sawhorses with a 2x6 on it and he jumped up and walked it and it was wobbling, after playing stick he comes back and his mouth is all bloody and he doesn't even notice. How old is he? Yes, I've read quite a few, at one time my wife and I had a kennel, most dogs are submissive but this guy is anything butEver read How To Be Your Dog's Best Friend?
Yes I have read monks of new skeete, the koehler method, carl spitz, many others. The 1 by monks of new skeet? They think like dogs, not trainers.
I bet 8k will get you about 20lbs black market hereNJ dispensaries are getting $8k a pound so getting $3k is easy peezy.
Your correct but employees also need to know the company needs to make a profit or the jobs go away. Min wage here is creeping up on $20 an hour, I wouldn't want a complainer or a dogfkr on my payrollI've worked with young people and some are very productive. I've worked with some adults who don't seem to understand the concept of work, at all.
Old habits are hard to break for some in management the traditional paradigm of management needs to be challenged...being bossy isn't being a good leader.
