I love the picture Walt. He does look like a movie star and I can see how an 8 year old would take to him.
I was so overwhelmed, it is hard to describe. Leatherneck John Wayne did not come home with a broomhandle Mauser in case/stock, a brass knuckled double-edged dagger, and then... several GI belts and canteens for ME!!

But a huge, squinty-eyed, slow-talking Duke lookalike was before me... shimmering, IIRC ;)

And then, all the movies about fighter pilots. Unca Irv got shot down, yeah... but on his first pass, he disabled a coupla Luftwaffe aircraft -- so it was a tie, sorta. And then -- what no one could ever get away with in a movie: He "captured" every German in the Luftwaffe at that aerodrome.

This is my favorite vacuum super light, great suction, good for floors or carpet self propelled too. Mr sub likes our heavy one better. It sucks good too but is harder to push around and carry up stairs.

I loved the ports in Tacoma/Seattle area. Lots of boats to photograph!

One thing I miss about being stationed at Ft. Lewis is all the little towns and hideaways.

I'm sure it's grown bigger since.

changed indeed

we went by the Naval Station on Whidby Island , lots of jets flying overhead

speaking of boats , on a little walk today

I don’t allow a snickers bar in the house. I don’t eat them as long as they aren’t in the house. But every Halloween somehow they disappear…..I hide them in my stomach….
I have to agree Pute I have mine tucked away in my stomach, with a lingering flavor of chocolate, nuts and caramel.

My Mrs brought it home to me, I do like some chocolate. I even worked at a candy factory for a while they were called Smiles'n Chuckles. Big chunks of chocolate weighing a ton, 50lb bricks of butter etc.

I liked the chocolate covered nuts the best, always seemed to be a box of chocolate covered cherries was getting damaged on the production line.:)
