The name “Art of Eight Limbs” refers to the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins.[6]
Muay Thai is related to other martial art styles of the Indian cultural sphere such as Musti-yuddha,[7][8]
Muay Chaiya, Muay Boran, Muay Lao, Lethwei, Benjang[9] and Tomoi.[10]

3_Hindu_goddess_Durga_in_Southeast_Asia.jpg

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durga

I am the Queen, the gatherer-up of treasures, most thoughtful, first of those who merit worship.
Thus gods have established me in many places with many homes to enter and abide in.
Through me alone all eat the food that feeds them, – each man who sees, breathes, hears the word outspoken.
They know it not, yet I reside in the essence of the Universe. Hear, one and all, the truth as I declare it.
I, verily, myself announce and utter the word that gods and men alike shall welcome.
I make the man I love exceedingly mighty, make him nourished, a sage, and one who knows Brahman.
I bend the bow for Rudra, that his arrow may strike, and slay the hater of devotion.
I rouse and order battle for the people, I created Earth and Heaven and reside as their Inner Controller.
On the world's summit I bring forth sky the Father: my home is in the waters, in the ocean as Mother.
Thence I pervade all existing creatures, as their Inner Supreme Self, and manifest them with my body.
I created all worlds at my will, without any higher being, and permeate and dwell within them.
The eternal and infinite consciousness is I, it is my greatness dwelling in everything.

– Devi Sukta, Rigveda 10.125.3 – 10.125.8,[37][38][39]

Hinduism and Buddhism are closely related religions, with both originating in ancient India and sharing core beliefs like karma, reincarnation, and the concept of liberation from the cycle of rebirth (moksha or nirvana), but Buddhism is often considered an offshoot of Hinduism as its founder, Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha), was born into a Hindu family and his teachings developed as a reaction to aspects of the existing Hindu practices at the time; key differences lie in the concept of a personal God, with Hinduism believing in a deity while Buddhism does not, and the caste system, which is rejected by Buddhism.

A "Southeast Asia Temple Tour" typically refers to a travel itinerary focused on visiting the numerous ancient and impressive temples across countries like Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos, with highlights including Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Grand Palace and Wat Arun in Bangkok, Thailand, and various temples in Chiang Mai, Thailand, allowing visitors to experience the rich Buddhist culture and architectural heritage of the region.

Thailand: Grand Palace, Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha), Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) in Bangkok, Wat Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai
Vietnam: Temples in Hanoi (like Ngoc Son Temple), Hue Citadel

Learning about the history and religious significance of each temple
Experiencing local ceremonies and rituals at the temples
Boat rides on rivers like the Mekong to reach remote temples
Combining temple visits with other cultural activities like local markets, cooking classes, and traditional performances

Tree of Life
An important element in every stupa is the "Tree of Life". This is a wooden pole covered with gems and thousands of mantras; it is placed in the central channel of the stupa.[56] It is positioned during a ceremony or initiation, where the participants hold colorful ribbons connected to the Tree of Life. Together, the participants make their most positive and powerful wishes, which are stored in the Tree of Life. In this way, the stupa is charged and starts to function.[56]

This is rich, view all the temple pics

O.K., I'm trying to build my karma back up for veering off track so much on this thread. I believe this is is a screenshot I grabbed from a special on Netflix. This is an old photo they used when discussing the history of Thai Stick production.

I tried looking for a picture of a young Thai plant published in the book "Plants of the Gods: Their Sacred, Healing, and Hallucinogenic Powers" by Richard Evans Schultes, Albert Hofmann & Christian Ratsch. If anyone can find that, the picture would be a great addition to this thread.

In that book, I remember a quote, something to the effect that Thai people would plant cannabis plants in the most honored place in their garden, next to the compost heap. This reinforced my belief that better ganja comes from plants that have a nitrogen deficit as the buds ripen.

Anyway, I remember that picture being very representative of the numerous plants I attempted to grow with the rare seeds found in Thai Sticks.
That was an Americans named Fergie grow in Burma 1979 near thai border .

awww dude drunken noodles, absolutely amazing stuff, and look at all those veggies! the more the merrier, even if... no, ESPECIALLY if there's meat.

as for pineapple on pizza, i love it... pineapple goes great with tomato sauce, i think the best is a plate of spaghetti with chunks of fresh pineapple on the side to dip into the tomato sauce
