I appreciate that and that's what I told him also. He is caught up in his academic mind and too much involved in his psychological drama. He got his doctor title a few years ago and is very successful. Furthermore, he came back from Dubai a few days ago with a big contract. And then he hurt himself. I would say, he is an overthinker and has learned how to be successful in the outer world but hasn't learned how to arrange his inner world to make it a pleasant place. Maybe he has lost the manual they gave us after birth :ROFLMAO:

To cut through the mind process with rituals and psychedelics is a proven way, that exist since a long time. If it's a shaman healer or my spiritual tradition, there are nice ways to open up to the healing capacities that are inherent in space and are part of ourselves. You can connect with grace and blessings if you are willing to and know how to do it. It's quite a bit work and trust but changes the way the world is seen. And if the cosmic intelligence/god thinks, it's the best way to crush his body and mind for healing, it's necessary to accompany him some time after the experience.
It's all about removing the veil of ignorance and seeing reality as it is and not how we project our thoughts to the world. Pride and misuse of psychedelics has discredited psychedelics, which is a pity.

I think it's similar to poison. If you know how to use it, it can be used to make drugs for heart disease. Too much and you die.
Or a bread knife. You can use it to chop up your child's food or cut off your neighbor's head.
It probably has to do with the fact that the church is afraid of losing its power.
In other cultures, the Dark Ages in Europe are viewed more critically than here in the motherland. It is said that the church branded many realized people who had a strong connection with God as witches in order to maintain their power. This also happened in other cultures.

Blessings to you.
Have a nice day.

Let me first say you should write more often if you have the time, as you got skills!

Second mad respect for being a great friend

And finally I agree, but as you said it must be monitored, even Carlos had Don Juan as a mentor and spiritual guide. Getting high and getting healed is two seperate ball games which should not be confused. I experienced a lot of psychedelics (still need to try Iboga, from Africa) and you need to have a strong mind, if not it overtakes you. Of course micro dosing works but in the right hands and with the right dosage. They are all kind of toxins or poisons, thats why you go in an altered state as you brains is toxified.
A guy so successful, has a lot of inner strength sleeping inside, it needs to be unleashed and naturally could be better

Your mate with the alcohol problem should try the weight loss injections available in chemists.

Such is the power with which they surpress the desire for food and alcohol that a financial research note has advised upon the speculated poor future performance of market giants such as Diageo

He is a great guy and has a lot to give. We will see, if he has the karma to break out of his cycle.

The thing with psychedelics is, that you have the chance to see glimpses of reality but you have to work with yourself also or it is only another vacation in disneyland.

Agreed
Also how is his social life? He needs to be surrounded by positive and loving people…there is nothing more therapeutic than love and caring….Why doesn’t he join us here???? We can be very supportive ( you can count on me)

It's for healing purposes for a friend at a quiet place in nature at the sea. I have only experiences with mushrooms and want to know the dosage and effects. He has a big problem with alcohol and opiates.
Doubt it will help him but .. Then he needs maybe something around 100, should be enough for a breakthrough that he is seeking for, but that can be very intense, especially if you are used to alcohol (one of mankind’s worst poison) . I would recommend ayuhuadca /dmt. It’s friendlier than lsd, especially if you’re a sad person, it will show you why life is beautiful. LSD lasts for a long time, so the possibility that you have a not so nice trip is higher (but you can learn a lot still)

Sorry to be the asshole as always but someone has to say it. 🤷‍♂️

Trying to cure alcoholism with psychedelics, shamans and karma sounds like a really bad idea.

First of all, no alcoholic will get better unless he aknowledges the problem and puts himself in the hands of trained medical professionals, and does it by his own will. They have to want it, and they have to surrender. Surrendering to a higher power is the base of recovery from alcoholism. As is apologising to the people we have hurt. This is because we as humans are so self important and self indulgent that it is existential dread and inner void what drives us to addiction. I am agnostic so it's not that I am pushing christianity on anyone. But the 3 people I know who were heavy alcohol users and got better, all became christians. One of the steps in AA is accepting there is a higher power than yourself, the reason is to take the importance away from yourself, accepting you are small and helpless and unable to control yourself without the help of a higher being.

Second thing is getting help from trained mental health professionals to try to find the reasons of this void that leads to self destructive behaviour and tackle them from the root. Child abuse, being unwanted by your parents, being rejected by women, being bullied at school, failing to meet your familiy's expectations. These are the things that destroy us from the inside. People that are really fucked up, don't get better through some psychedelic revelation, sorry.

Ketamine, mushrooms and LSD are used in small doses to treat anxiety and depression but an alcoholic that doesn't want to get better is a very different problem. The damage you can do by giving psychedelics to someone, whose brain chemistry is already altered by substance abuse, without close supervision of a trained professional, using advice you read on a forum, is very dangerous. I'd rather be an alcoholic for life, than becoming what some of the people I used to know in the city became due to treating LSD as somekind of cure-all panacea. It's not pretty to look them in the eyes and see there's nobody home. That's a lot sadder than dying from liver failure in my opinion.

Lastly, it's the addict who has to want to do it, and be willing to go through hell to do it. Otherwise nothing will work. Alcoholism is a very fucked up illness and thinking you are going to cure it by giving a person mushrooms at the beach watching the sunset is not realistic nor reasonable.

Agree 100%. (Not about dying as alcoholic) To get over addiction you need to want it yourself! The other things can help in introspection, but rather supervised than alone, and for sure it’s not a solution! Ayuhuasca can help us accept or see things we aren’t willing to see. Never do it alone and don’t think some substance takes away the work you need to put into yourself. Change routines with other routines
