No I'm about 5 miles from Cambridge and Boston and the river. The Charles River was originally named the Massachusetts River. Might not know that. There's also folklore and 19th century archaeology fad about the area being Vinland from the vikings. There's some monuments, street signs, houses indicating this is where Leif Erikson's Vinland was. They did find butternut squash in Lans Aux Meadows, and that only occurs south of the Saint Lawrence. Vinland!

did you get that info from AI?…grok ?..

I love rescues too but I think boo is looking for a specific bloodline. They do have sweet dog rescues tho I’m sure with no paperwork but certainly sweet doggos. Like this one 😊

We've had the daughter of the US Grand Victor X granddaughter of the Canadian Grand Victrixes and we've rescued GSD's, with each and every one them excellent dogs.

The best ones were the ones that we raised from pups, but all of them did their level best to be good good little dawgs in good standing.

so far we have had early morning rain , then a dusting of snow , and now some sunshine

some noise under the tiny home woke me and Swede up about 2am

sounds like we may have a big rat

looks like I am on rat patrol

there are a few feral cats that come around our place about once a day so I guess poison or big rat traps are a no no?

any ideas are mucho appreciated

Might turn out that it was a good thing doobs isn't growing.

This is also why I'll never get anything through the mail again.

I sent out a care package through USPS over 20 years ago and a postal worker opened it stole the contents and then sent it to it's destination.
I've stuck metal parts or circuit boards in care packages in case they x-ray sometimes.

The last dog we got from a breeder, a yellow lab. Quality breeder, champion blood line, AKC registered.

Died from Ketosis diabetes at 7 years old.

I've had the best luck with poison in containers too small for larger animals to access. You can also put baited traps in boxes too small for larger animals to access if you are concerned about cats eating a poisoned rat.

I’ve found there is an analogy between dogs and old cars. Dogs that were brought up properly but need a home are completely different than dogs that have been abused and sent to shelters. An old car can last forever if properly cared for when but if you abuse a puppy, it takes years to work out their anxieties and their fear biting. I see dogs as a piece of clay that the Lord let me mold into what I wanted to be. All my dogs have been very loving and very loyal. Ivan has got all of the traits I desire, but I need to work on him with aggression. He doesn’t need to know how to bite, but when to… It appears Ivan has gotten extremely serious about life since Dutch passed…

I think in Doobs case the sender is already on a list. When that happens some stuff still gets through because customs can't check every single piece of mail. I'm guessing that's why Ace has stopped mailing to the US. All my previous Ace orders came from Spain.

When mailing within the US I don't think USPS uses Xray on every piece of mail.

I live a sheltered life , I was in a cult for a long time , cut off from the worldly things

before that , lsd-25 kept me out of the loop

do you believe men landed on the moon?

I don’t believe it.

I'm pretty sure they don't, because of the time and expense.

This is a picture of the molds that I have for the soldiers that are made out of lead. I also found the small crucible and a ladle. At the bottom of the picture is a concrete tool that Big might be interested in. There’s no doubt it’s every bit of 75 years old, and is his for the asking?
