but captain red eye wants us to roll over allow it to happen.

you know what demographic is always voting like their place in heaven depends on it??

the fundies. the ones that are ACTIVELY trying to make our world worse by every important metric.

and that article right there is an example.

this is why i CANNOT throw my nuts away and stop voting... our world is shitty enough, and we need SOME normal, sane people voting.

if when you get older and decide to settle down and have kids, you'll learn that pregnancy and childbirth are complicated and often dangerous.

our first kid, my wife had a complication that could have killed her.

luckily, it went fine, but if she had been in an abortion- ban state and a complication came up which required termination of the pregnancy and they refused and she died...

my point being, dads and prospective dads in red states need to worry.
what a load of bollocks . on many levels

once you are of age and have kids, you will see... prrgnancy and childbirth are complicated and often dangerous.

if you had paid attention in middle school (o right, what do you guys call it? secondary school?) health class a couple years age, you might have learned that... but here we are.

maybe you have a rebuttal with specifics? it's not like you to simply go ad hominem while chickening out from a good- faith debate, what gives?

Statist Claim:
Voting is Consent

Fallacy:

If you vote, you consent to everything the state does. If you don't, you can't complain!

Response:

Since outright slavery has been discredited, "democracy" is the only remaining rationale for state compulsion that most people will accept. Democracy has proved only that the best way to gain power over people is to assure the people that they are ruling themselves. Once they believe that, they make wonderfully submissive slaves. - Joseph Sobran
Herbert Spencer destroys these fallacies: see http://praxeology.net/Spencer-on-voting.htm. (DR)

The statists have it backwards. If you voluntarily go into a casino and lose your money, then you have no complaint, but if you did not go to the casino and someone comes out of the casino and robs you, then you can complain. It is the non-voters who have the most standing to complain. They did not endorse the game, they did not play the game, and yet it is imposed upon them anyway! The voters played the game, so if they complain it is just sour grapes - their side didn't win. [HB]

you don't choose to waltz into life as an adult.

your parents violently force you into it.

none of what you say makes sense in the framework we have... you might as well be talking about how a nitrogenous atmosphere is a poor choice or how staying within the third dimension is slavery.

better yet, you are the apparent plato's cave escapee coming to tell us of this third, stateless dimension...

but instead of telling us of the supposed third dimension, you just spout off about how two dimensions is inadequate.

do the terrence mckenna thing and cast a smaller net to bring out a tiny minnow of pithy explanatory power

It's exasperating, but only if you consider him sane.

imo, this is what happens when society legislates from a place of virtue signalling/ self- backpatting and wanting to punish those that persue sexual and romantic liberty... instead of legislating from a place where reason and logic and evidence reign.

(inb4: some strawman / appeal to ignorance fallacy combo, or just a good ole ad- hominem)

Nearly a clever meme.

It attempts to combine two different, but somewhat topically related things in a relationship as if being opposed to abortion is the causation of higher maternal and infant mortality.
... because societal attitudes and the people we vote for have a DIRECT link, unlike the dubious links you've tried to make in this thread.

pro life attitudes of pro life voters led to pro life candidates being elected into a position in which they could enact pro life policy and in turn raise the maternal mortality rate. these things are very obviously directly related.

A person could be in favor of "gun freedom" and still die of a gunshot wound, right?
and a mom can be pro life and die due to being denied an abortion in a pro life state.

Thanks for the laugh!

You, a voter, are complaining to a nonvoter about how unhappy you are your choice of a master didn't win.

I've tried to warn you about politics!

Proselytizing isn't warning.

Human relations either begin and proceed on a Voluntary and consensual basis or they begin on an Involuntary basis and proceed from there.

Which one do you think is worth working towards? Just curious.

Also, despite any evangelism on my part, I think I did WARN hIm about politics. It's possible I both proselytized and warned. :)

so you, a nonvoter, are content to just let your (hypothetical) wife die because the ones who vote religiously are also the ones trying to kill her?

don't try and make your position look like the strong one.

you could easily help me in my fight to help protect my family (by helping make sure good ppl get voted in, state and local for instance where your vote would count a lot more) while ALSO advocating for anarchism and helping sow the seeds for anarchist plots... it has historical precedent.

i know you know all about the o.g. trade union antifascists, for instance, since you brought up syndicalism and i just hope you put your money where your mouth is, figuratively speaking, in terms of activism besides talking shit all day about statism in a chamber built by statism and using partially state funded/ developed tech.
