I haven’t caught everything here, so I apologise if this has all ready been covered but I’m curious; will boutique vendors have the same privileges as premium/veteran members, in addition to the standard vendor benefits?

We are trying to figure out a way for seed donations as well, but it's kind of hard to do since there is no icmag owned seedshop anymore, to take the work of receiving, selling and sending then.
If there is anyway I can help please let me know. I am an extremely honest person, live in Massachusetts a legal state, and am fully disabled (I don't work) with plenty of time on my hands. Just putting it out there as I am a longish term member and definitely dont plan on going anywhere 😁. Good luck

yes i see, you lost like 2-3 comments at some vendors forum, and running nice promotion for artisanal seeds obtained from member here.
yes new rules probably suck

Hopefully I am not too off topic here but I have a question/comment.

When states started going legal the pot growers grew like weeds (no pun intended). Still, the demand was so high that these growers were charging super high prices. Pot was selling for $50 a fucking gram in some cases and eighths were commonly $60 to $80.

Everyone wanted to get rich. Pretty soon we had more growers and sellers than buyers. Supply and demand took over. 14 dispensaries closed for lack of funds in Cal last month. Growers and shops are closing like crazy and going broke. I can buy a pound of outdoor Humbolt for about the same price as I was paying in the late '70s.

I mean, we all know what happened to the pot market. I am just setting up my question.

So, next we have seed vendors. "Breeders" popping up like the growers did. Seeds were selling for anywhere from $10 to $50 each. I still see some vendors selling their "super' seeds for outrageous prices.

Now, I can go to about half of the forums I haunt and trade/buy/sell seeds/pollen/clones openly. Now, I see people trading seeds for postage stamps. LOL

There still seems to be a demand for certain "legacy' genetics but for the most part, I can buy/sell/trade/win seeds at Overgrow and other places and pay pennies per seed.

Is this the end of $10 and higher seeds? Sure seems like it. Certainly is for me.

Seed trading in the paid zone, is not for financial gain. Least, that's what the written rules say. So $10 would be very high. However, I will happily pay $10 for beans that are genuinely what I want. Perhaps breeders packs from breeders that no longer exist, could easily go higher. I was not active on seedbay, but feel sure people will of paid more. By choice.

Where beans are made for your own use, and you have spares to give away, it's better than watching them sit in storage forever. I have hundreds of old dried out beans that are no good to anyone. It would of been nice to give them away. They are the free beans, that trade at postage costs. The generations that exist, purely to get to the next.

I'm still looking at catalogues of full price stuff, from breeders that I hope recognise duff plants. I'm afraid a lot of people think they are doing well, with plants I would want nothing to do with. It's a big trust issue, and I'm happy to pay for some professionalism. Nobody can run a facility that just makes beans, then sell them for pennies.

I can see a split between purposes. Time ago, I would do a seed from ditch weed, though only if I had enjoyed it. Today I'm happy to support breeders, who offer documented seeds. The more documents the better, now viroids are getting more press.

I would be hard pushed to use near free beans. The saving could so easily cost.

We have our winners of the Brainstorming Contest! You can see them here:

I would also like to announce that we are implementing the ideea that the winner, @Desert Dan gave us! Starting today you can get Veteran status both by 10 years old membership and 1000 posts OR 10 years old membership and 420 Reaction points. Posting quality content will pay off faster than upping the post count now, so many more of you will enjoy Veteran status starting today, and even more will be closer to getting the Veteran tag now, even with lower than 1000 post count.
Thank you all for helping us! I would like to ask @Desert Dan if he wants the Premium tag along his veteran tag that basically gives him same access, or he would like to pick a friend to donate it or maybe pass it so we can pick another lucky user to get access to the Premium Area instead?

I am honored that my idea was taken into consideration and hope that it will boost community morale moving forward! I would like to spread the love and donate the premium membership to my boy @LostTribe if he wants.

Much love everyone.
