From the TSW 2000 to the FCE 3000

So i got an earlier christmas present, wich im grateful of...
today my FCE 3000 arrived :D
20211222_183528.jpg

Very different from the TSW, starting right in the package. The Fce box is much smaller, but heavier, both have something i dont like, the sticker outside saying what it is, even the wattage, some people in illegal countrys like me may not like
20211222_181727.jpg

Because of the design of the light it comes much more well packaged in terms of security, one layer of foam protecting the top, 2 rows of foam with the led strips and in the bottom of the box is the driver etc

i was eager to know wich driver would come with it since in th Mars website says that it can comes with a MW driver or a Moso chinesium driver, im pretty happy its the MW. Its quite heavy, heavier thant the 2 drivers of the TSW.
BTW anyone knows what that black dot on the bottom of the driver is?

The build quality between the 2 is a huge difference..the fce is much more sturdy, the materials are better and look more durable, also because of its design..the strips slide in the frame in those golden tin things, its cool, the Fc should do the same

Unfortanly the clones from the Kali Chinas and the Bangi Haze didnt make it so i will run 4 autos.

Mazarilla, Gorilla and Killer Mandarine from Urban Legends and 1 rocky dirk auto freebie from growstore, bulk seed without seedbank associated.

11l pots, all mix from biobizz mixed with coco Natural from Canna (20~30% still undecided), some vulcanic rock, wormcastings, basalt dust, gypsum, nutes mixed are Guano Kalong complete, powder and sea weeds, a bit of neem flour by Trabe and later on palm tree ashes from Kalong also, Calmag from Biobizz, also have grow and bloom for any backup.
Great white mycos to inoculate them early, and a root enhancer by Top Crop wich was a freebie from the growshop, also have Atazyme from Atami on hand
I will add the neem to the soil because i had root aphids in the kalis and the bangi..for other pests i have Potasium soap, oidioprot, botrypot and neem oil from Prot-eco, Ekisan from Trabe and Pro-silicate from Grotek, this will not be in soil due to the potassium chloride, just foliars during veg.

My objective is to fortify and make them the strongest i can during veg for a good safe healthy flowering

Also Pro-eco says that the botrypot can be uses until 2 weeks before harvest, anyone here did it and didnt notice differences in flavour or smell after?
I also got yellow stickyicky stripes..

Ill start the poping seeds process like i always do and fuck me if i dont finish this grow properly

Peace :tiphat:

There is some kind of adjustment underneath that grommet although I don't know what "C P" is referring to.

Either that or your version of the driver isn't adjustable so they just plugged the acess hole with a grommet.

Thanks for coming by bro, it is dimmable the dim is connected to the driver, its just curiosity

It might be to adjust or set the maximum current output?

Either way, it's not something that needs to be looked at or adjusted regularly because the access hole is covered up.

This is the voltage adjustment for my power supply.

Right beside it is a spot for another adjustor for current ("A" for amps.), but that spot is empty because my power supply doesn't have adjustable current.

They use the same circuit board for both power supplies but don't add all the parts for my version.

Your driver might be similar with either nothing under the grommet, or perhaps it is a current adjustment that isn't needed because your driver has a dimmer already.

I'm guessing that it is an adjustment to set the maximum current output of your driver so that it doesn't deliver too much power to your LED's and burn them out.
But that would have been set up at the factory so that when you turn your lights up to maximum, it is the maximum that your LED's can use, not the maximum current that your driver can deliver.

Last 24h in a cup of water in warm place

The rocky dirk bulk seed already had the tap root out, something like 3mm
from urban the killer mandarine had the tap out too, like 6mm, the mazarilla had the very tip and the gorilla was still closed.

Temp is 23~25c and rh is 60 and the light is at the very minimum and the light schedule will be 24/0 in the first week or too, i can only wait now

And we have life!!

The first ones to say hello
Killer Mandarine, took the helmet off and helped with the membraine too

Mazarilla, did everything by herself and left a present
Click image for larger version Name:	20211229_015433.jpg Views:	0 Size:	160.7 KB ID:	18026152

I scratched the surface of the Gorilla, wich showed movement, with the helmet still on, the Rocky Dirk also showed movement but kinda sideways, kinda growing down..i covered both again, sprayed the dryish soil, covered again the retain moisture to see if it helps both

I lowered the light to around +/- 65cm from the pots at 25% to see what they do and adjust accordingly

For now iv been managing temps still and always around 22.5~24.5c and rh 60~65%.

I hope one more day until the other 2 sprout

The Gorila is the 3rd one to say hello
20211230_035747.jpg

The Rocky Dirk, like i said yesterday, kinda sideways?i suppose the purplish tip is where the cotyledon are?there was a chunk of compressed perlite right next to the purple part kinda acting like a rock, in my ignorance i thought it could be forcing the seedling somehow so very gently i removed it, im thinking in poping another one if this one in 2 or 3 days dont come fully out

if it were me, I'd pull her head out of the sand and show her which way is up.

She's probably just a little confused 😕 ?? lol😁

I would dig around the cotyledons and prop her head up a bit, trying not to break the stem.
The stem looks pretty thin where it's coming out of the ground.
I figure that once she gets some sunshine on her head, she'll know which way is up.

I just had the same happen, a mazarilla seedling popped ass up trying to dive in the soil, I carefully put it right side up.
But then stayed the same for the last 3 days so I just killed it, no sign of growing.

I think if the root tip comes in contact with not so humid air above surface and dries out a bit, not much you can do.

Have a great start!

edit: PCBuds that's a very funny comparison, nice one :biglaugh:

I think that there might be some messed up genetics going on if a 🪴 will drill its own head into the ground?

I've never had a sprout do that.

Thanks again ReikoX for your seeds that don't have suicidal tendencies. lol

The rh in the hygrometer shows 60~65% even if the one that is in the pot of the funky seedling, but with the heater turning on and off in the middle of the tent i supose the readings might not be that accurate

i found her head, she is funky and all twisted but now is this from genetics?maybe something in the soil?i dunno but if i dont see any improvementes in the next 2 days i will pop another one and replace

The ones that are already out are slow, and there is one thing that i dont like it for now..the set of leafs with just one finger didnt grew much, for example in the killer mandarine im already seing what looks like the first true set of leafs noticing..the mazarilla dindt grew also and the gorilla is not even straigth up and thats all after 24h difference since the last "update", i expected to see some progress. Either way i covered the top of the soil with perlite because minimizing gnats and evaporation

i soak the seeds in a warm place in a cup of water and after i removed and right before poting them i sprikeld them with great white powder, now i wonder if so much movement with them could stunt them in any way, but maybe that would show in a delayed sprouting in the soil and not a slower growth? Dunno maybe im just forgotfull how fast and slow they grow.

now im thinking also that since i added the guanokalong ammendments and have the biobizz for backup, i could have made the soil with light mix instead of the all mix, the lighter is more suitable for seedlings regarding root development, thinking for the next grow.

either way i removed the heater from the tent since i dont need it to heat the pots to sprout the girls and placed the humidifier in its place instead, now the heater is in front of one of the intake holes.

Peace :tiphat:
