One week of flowering light schedule(11/13) finished up. Filling out, nowhere to go but up!
Not sure when I should get in there and defoliate and prune the lower, smaller, shaded branching/budsites, whether it's better to do it sooner like today, or wait until further along once the stretch is slowing down.

Already getting whiffs of mango and carrot when I open the tent.

It's 100 gallon bed, this is it's 3rd cycle with minimal amending in this 4'x4'x6.6' tent. Thinking I should maybe go pretty aggressive with removing a few more full branches and topping the existing main branches to keep things closer to manageable, but I'm pretty new to growing overall and kinda wanna just see how crazy it'll get in here as-is. I do love me a bad idea now and then...
I really like your style of growing. My indoor has a 100 liter bed, I'm reviving it as it was unused for 6 months. Now I got back to it for seed making.

Day 90 on the flowering stage for Zam.

She will be harvested this week after a full 13 weeks run. I would have liked to take her 14 weeks but I've been dealing with nanners for the last two weeks and don't want to end up with too much immature seeds. She smells like bitter mangoes with an oily background that reminds me of Malawi and Golden Tiger. Smoked some bomb GT friday night, what got me super excited for this one.

I wasn't expecting it to produce that much. Even the lower buds are fat. Keeping the colas from falling over was a hard task.
Its a great looking plant. Is this a pretty stable strain overall? I know you mentioned hermie issues. I have 5 seedlings from a 6 pack of regulars im about to throw in veg

@RobFromTX

I haven't seen much hermie plants while reading this thread and I think it has a good reputation in that sense. Also, my experience with Zamaldelica is limited to a single plant. Mine was a little sensitive to stress but not a true herm. It threw 2 pollen sacs after transplanting in early flowering (it stopped after that) and some nanners from week 11 or 12 until harvest. It still finished nicely. Not sure if I pushed it too much or if its in the genetic. I know pure zamal strains can be sexually unstable.

What a great grow !!!

Your plant will probably stretch a lot more ... that depending on the pheno. From my experience, these sats stretch for a good 4 weeks and sometime a bit during the fifth week. I would personally wait a bit to defoliate in order to avoid stress. I think she'll be more resilient in 7-10 days.

To give you a better idea, here is mine on day 14 after the stretch vs day 28 (the one on the left). Note she stretched even a bit more after that.

Thanks for the feedback!🙏 I think I'm gonna let em do their thing and wait until they're slowing down on the stretch and started stacking before I clean things up and thin it down a bit🤙.

What a show @FeelHaze thanks a lot for the frequent updates, much appreciated 🙏 you can be proud of your growing skills getting such a big yield from your first Zamaldelica grow :tiphat: Despite the nanners, she was an interesting high yielding and high flower/leaf Zamal/Malawi dominant pheno, hope she smokes as good as she looks ;)

I stopped by to share my Zamaldelica at 32°06′S.

Here is the girl in question, in Jan 18 when I stopped the assist light
and now apparently it stopped stretching and went into full flower mode. It took her some time!!
Is anyone around can tell what pheno it is? you cant see but it has two apicals both equaly tall as the top one.
She is going full organic mode, EM5, Biol and bokashi.

Have a nice one, and buenos humos!

Que preciosidad verla crecer tan sana plantada en suelo @tangolpeando :) se nota que está disfrutando!

Kindly share updates during flowering and i will comment on her traits and phenotype in more detail, so far looks quite balanced for growing traits. Gracias!

Hi @Karl_O'Barley i'm surprised about the germination ratio you got from your regular pack ? was an old pack ?

They have recovered really well from the thrip attack and treatment :) they look now very healthy and uniform to face a great flowering stage!

A different approach here with Zamaldelica F3 (Zamal/Thai phenos) from the Breeders Pack. 11.5 h light / 12.5 dark from day one. The seeds germinated on January 29th, 2025. The goal is to keep the plants small, get some F4 seeds and also enough flowers for the jars. Under relatively cool conditions (23°C in light, 15-18°C in darkness) 3 males (2,0l pots) and 3 females (11,0 l pots) emerged. Five out of six plants are small to medium in size for a sativa. One female is much larger. The first male pre-flowers appeared on February 22nd, 2025. First female preflowers appeared on February 28. In this respect it´s the 2nd week of flowering. Since the plants are still young and grown from seed, I expect flowering to continue slow. Pictures taken this morning.

Glad the F3 grabbed your attention enough to grow some @paisajedehierba thanks for that!
How is the little family doing ?

I'm in the US and bought a pack from North Atlantic Seed Co a year ago, so I would imagine it's not thaaat old. But no worries here, wouldn't have minded finding a nice male but 3 nice looking ladies out of 6 seeds are good with me! Been pleased with how uniform they've been growing so far, excited to watch them fill this tent out beautifully!

I was also happy to see a big restock from some of your US distributors recently! I just scooped up some Purple Zamal x Zamaldelica, Green Haze x Zamaldelica, and Thaidelica. Also have your Thai Chiang Mai, Honduras, and Ethiopian sprouted and looking forward to exploring🙏.
