Zamaldelica

She is indeed very promising @babe ruth Very resinous budsites of enticing mango smell :yummy: after just 5 weeks of flowering, glad you feel motivated to pollinate her with your own pollen

My Zamaldelica smelled like cedar, sweet spicy carrots and the wax Halloween harmonica. Took a minute to realize why I was being transported to trick or treating with the kids. I'm going to cross with Malawi and call it Zamalloween.

Does anyone know what terp is the Halloween wax harmonica terp? Ace has extensive doterra essential oil terp testing but tests for zero actual weed flavors.

Funny that you should be asking about the wax harmonica flavor...just a few minutes ago, i was asking what the flavor of those 'candy corn' (yellow orange and white stripes?), cuz i don't really hate most sugary things, but those are really icky to me. And red liquorish, yuck. The wax lips and harmonicas were okay...just can't get past the wax. No idea what flavor any of those are.

Thanks for joinning the Zamaldelica thread :) @WingzHauser the wax Halloween harmonica terps are not something i'm familiarized with, glad you managed to recognize it. Please post pics of your girl in flowering if you have the chance. I would not cross Zamaldelica again with Malawi, in my opinion Zamaldelica already has the right % of Malawi content for not being too Malawi dominant. Crossing Zamaldelica with a good, totally different sativa would be more interesting in my opinion.

Beautiful Zamaldelica flower off my GT/Thai pheno, now she has two months of cure on her she is smoking very very nice. This one seems a bit more introspective than the elite pheno I’ve also held back but both are lovely. Very heady stuff without much body, along with a moderate amount of energy I would say.

Looks wonderful @OZZ_  I see myself easily enjoying that one at the end of a summer afternoon, getting trippy when the light and heat start to fade, enjoying the outdoor surroundings while at the same time inner life multiplies, heading to the night, mind and imagination flies until consciousness gets lost and there's hardly any difference between in and out.

Lovely description of how our evening is shaping up exactly at this moment right now…. Sun will be setting in about an hour or so, think I’ll roll one up! HA! Cheers :dance013:

Interesting! Can you explain this to me please?
Cannabis flower in boiling water... nothing else.

The idea is to drink the water and eat the bud after a good long brew.

My favorite way to consume. Different high than fat/sugar based edibles. Healthier than smoking or vaping. Tastes great (avoid too much leaf in there for best taste). A couple joints' worth will have you high for the whole day.

Need to keep it hot for a while. A good way is to use a thermos. Or you can re-heat it in the microwave a couple of times (this seems really effective, the microwave must do an extra decarb in addition to the hot water). Or if you are a madman like me, you can drink the water after it's cooled down and then pour more hot water over the bud, a couple of times.

Works really well with Malawi btw. Something about its chemistry. Doesn't look as pretty though hehe more of a brownish green brew.

I do this too!
As you say, the trick is to keep it hot enough for long enough.
30 minutes at a near boil 100C is about perfect for the decarb.

Nice evening

Really? I know that ppl do hour or two boiling in water as a washing , I mean before making some fat or alco or other extraction

must try goingrey ,)

what I've read from book of tinctures... best possible way at home is alcohol but better then average, from 70% are going to be interesting 😃 if you do dekarb and then, fast way, or slow way... im good, tripping man, lol ... one year slow schnaps must be very good high 😃
I mean, alcohol takes up to 80% of things from plants. ..water tea deep boiled can be at 1/4 effectivity ( but without THC )

All time of process must be temperature controlled, it goes easy up sometime :)

No need to worry about efficiency of the extraction when you also eat the weed..

I recall @Amsterdam Errline posting some kind of review about a fancy decarb/extraction machine but could now only find this photo. Maybe someone know the name. But I like the simplicity of just an old school kettle, especially with the speed of a modern induction stove lol.

I use whole flower in my edibles, only I can stand the flavor, so nobody bothers me for any.
Hehe I guess that could be considered a benefit but really, weed tastes great. Maybe it is the recipes that don't really let your ingredients shine. When cooking with flower "edible style" I really prefer savory dishes. Plenty of people like broccoli, and even more like chocolate, but I don't see any broccoli chocolate bars for sale... Depends on the strain too of course, and also on how leafy.

And to keep in on topic, some windowsill grown Zamaldelica brewing, more of a golden color. This I usually save for smoking, as out of respect for your lungs, if you're going to be smoking, might as well make it the best, and sun grown Zamaldelica sure is up there.

Taste of the water is chicory root like maybe. Taste of the brewed flower is carrot with a peppery afterburn.
