Z 02, done stretch:

I usually train and veg a few weeks before flip. But I wanted
to flip quick in order to get faster finished product, yield is
secondary as a result.

The mum plant is growing well, and has stopped pre flowers.

Flipped and vegged long time. She will yield well, but require
careful trimming as she stretches.

This wrap around training method is best for this plant, has strong
branching tendencies.

No topping.

The Z 02 is filling in and getting triched out. Smells like
my grandma when she don't shower. Hope it improves.

The Z 01 is stretching nicely and will do well.

She don't smell anything like grandma. When she's in full
bloom she's all mango and carrots.

Yup.

Pistols starting to come out. The 7th time to flower this cultivar. In this
16 oz container, I expect 15 or 16 grams finished product.

That's enough buds to keep for this cultivar for me. I have
about 25 grams of it cured from previous runs.

Its potent.

This plant, again in a 16 ounce container, will yield 6 or 7 grams.

Lol. These yields are quite low, I know. I've never pretended to
be a top dog when it comes to my grows. I don't smoke a lot,
and my wife even less. Low maintenance kind of guy.

But I do like that I grow what I smoke.

I share with friends, they prefer the chem, so I'll get some seeds
to grow for that.

Looking good cat. Glad to see your success with the Zamaldelica in a micro and low watt situation. My next order is going to be the zamaldelica and some Malawi from ace. I was worried that they would be hard to contain in the micro situation, but seeing your results gives me some confidence. Thanks for posting.

Out of curiosity, how many watts are you running? Also what spectrum and type of lighting? Led, cfl, hps?

Love seeing sativas in small spaces!

Great job! Nothing beats growing your own!

The two girls are doing well, Z 02 is filling out and Z 01 is crowning
shorter that expected.

Ambient temps too low, I suspect. No worries, there will be
yield enough from the Z 02 to smoke more than a few sessions.

The Z 01 is just for shits and giggles. Any yield from her is good.

Pics soon, stay tuned.

A little top heavy, but typical open bud structure of a NLD. Getting
all crystally. Smells like celery and carrots. Estimate final yield 4 or
5 grams.

Still has a few weeks to go, been 8 or 9 weeks since flip.

She crowned without much stretch, perhaps due to the low ambiant
temps.

The Z 02 is frosting up nicely, all cloudy 60 days in flower.
This pheno seems on track to finish before 80 days.

The Z 01 I flower usually goes over 100 days.

The two plants will go head to head in a smoke out to
see which one gets kept. I only have space for one
Zamaldelica.

The Z 02 now smells strongly of pineapple, like a Piña Colada.
Came on overnight, did not smell like that the day before.

I would really like if that scent stayed with the cure,
which may start much sooner than later.

Is it really possible to be ready so soon? Most of the fans
have yellowed and fallen with the smaller leafs in the bud
browning at the tips. Trichs are full cloudy.

Interesting.

I would figure the plant will tell u when it is done. Sounds like it's pretty close to me. I have the same "problem" with my lsd plant. Breeder (barneys farm) says 70 days but I don't think it's going to take that long....gonna let the trichs decide.

Maybe it's the micro environment that is making things early?? Small container size?? I have no idea. I've heard root restriction can cause early flowering....maybe that leads to early finishing as well. I can only hope!

Looking forward to hearing the smoke report comparison!!

You make good points that can only be verified with
flowering this pheno again.

Clearly a win/win, lol!

In all likelihood I will flower her again, if only to see it
in a bigger container with longer veg time.

What's your Barneys Farm lsd smell like, and will you
flower her again?

DC. The pheno of lsd that I have is quite nice. Unfortunately I ran it 12/12 from seed so I'm gonna have to try to reveg it. It has very wide leaves, short petioles, and didn't branch. Perfect for the micro setting or sog.

As far as smell, from the onset of pistils this thing has REEKED of skunk. It's the first time I've actually had to run a carbon filter. Usually I just throw an Ona block in the room with my cabinet and that takes care of any odor. This plant is prolly only going to be about 5 grams once it's dry, but smells like a field. As soon as I crack the case open I get blasted with its pungent aroma. Definitely not for the unprepared stealth grower!

Today is day 59 since showing pistils (86 from germ). And last night I noticed the aroma was deepening to an almost coffee scent. If it smokes how it smells ill be in for a treat!!

I must also mention that the plant is very grower friendly. Hell, i didn't manage to kill it! It was quite hardy.

.....but as we all know, the smoke report is what matters. That's a few weeks out. I'm excited!
