Zamaldelica - The Search for Trip Weed

She is under a 600 watt hps (hortilux eye and blockbuster hood) which is about 7 to 10 inches away from the canopy. Temps consistent between 72 to 76 lights on and in upper 60's with lights out...When my 1000 watt tent is half harvested (my quicker strains) I will move her on over to there.

Don't know if you can tell by the pics or not but I did very slightly burn her before flower (too much N) and have been feeding her the same as the others since (quarter strength nutes every watering), id say that where the stretch come in at lol. She is also super cropped and LST'd, I did veg her longer than i'd like to of though....

Nothing else in the tent is stretching like she is, they all have very tight internodes with long branches, gonna be solid ball bat buds on the rest lol.... The kali mist beside her stretching quiet a bit though.

What lighting did you run on yours and what was your total yield??
Hey MB, mine are under 600s aswell . They have a medium to high stretch. I just bend the stems over , so they are horizontal . The stem will form a knuckle and the buds will form along the stem. I pulled 110g off a clone from the seed plant. Around 5 week veg I think.

Hi Jahaze,

No, it's not the latest version, the latest Zamaldelicam fem seeds were harvested in December 2014, and they were released for the first time in spring 2015. You have the previous one.

Thank you for the reply dubi. So the improvement was the golden tiger dad selection or did the zamal mother also change? I realize you are focusing on improving your product and have a goal for this popular varietal. I am sorry if I asking questions that have already been answered. I am new to your community but it looks like everyone is happy with the product whether it is a previous generation or the new one. Thank you again dubi...

Hi man I had some of that batch, i got 2 phenos one broad leaved and one thin leaved both very strong you cant go wrong with any of them but the thin leaved was the more speedy of the two.
You are in for a treat.
Tangwena

Tangwena thanks for the info...much appreciated. Is it to early to tell from the pictures which way my girl leans? The newer leaves look thinner than the older veg leaves that you see in the picture. She is two weeks into flower and rapidly changing and growing....wow does this var. grow fast or what?!

Hi MountainBudz,

Your Golden Tiger fem seem to have a more manageable size and structure from the Malawi genetics.

On the other hand the Zamaldelicas are really tropical zamal/thai phenos. It's hard to tame indoors such vigorous tropical phenos from seed, much easier from clones, anyway if they are stretching too much and the flowering hasn't started much yet, then consider to top them or bend them down.

Please, keep us updated and we will try to help you with your doubts. Best wishes!

Thanks Dubi for stopping by and for you interest in my exotic gals!

The Golden Tiger is very large and vigorous compared to the rest of the plants in the tent, but they are very well manageable at the same time... Glad I have a Malawi Pheno there so I can get a taste of the Malawi since my Malawi died as a seedling.... But thats okay, still have several packs of both fem and regular Malawi seeds put up! Have a huge stash of your genetics!

The Zamaldelica is probably the most stretchiest and harder to manage of ALL the plant's entirely and I have a pheno of CSG's SSSDH that comes in second as far as stretching goes... I super cropped each branch and all is well now, took about 9 inches off the height canopy and laid em down and it is working well. I didn't and unfortunately don't have a spot for the clones right now, but my plans are after harvest I will leave a bit on each plant that I enjoy the most and do a reveg and turn them into mother plants... Hope that it works out well for me... But all in all, so far I am very impressed with her and loving the experience!

I am planning on switching both GT and Zamal to the 1000 watt tent once a few of my quicker finishing hybrids are done over there to maybe increase some yield... I will definitely keep in touch and post pics once buddage starts heavily, smoke reports as well...

I got them to flower much quicker than most claim they do by using a product called "true blooms" by Primordial Solutions and let me tell you, it kicks them into flower quickly and I am not joking at all... Seem's like some good shit. Anyone interested look it up and check it out, it is suppose to be organic as well, no PGR's...

MBz... :tiphat:

Thaibliss, maybe you can answer this question. I grew the 2013 fem GT. Got 3 ounces, and found one seed. One single seed! No other plants were growing. It was indoor. Is it possible? I know pollen can travel over distances, but this was grown in my house. Vin

Hi Vinrusso,

It is possible that a stray pollen got sucked into your house or hijacked itself on some clothes. More likely, is that there was a mostly sterile hermie hidden in a bud. I would be curious enough to grow it out if you like the GT.

Hi Vinrusso,

Just as T.B. says; it's very likely that one plant grew a tiny nanner or a mostly sterile one.
I once had a MK Ultra plant like this & it's offspring had the same trait. So it's a bit like having an endless source of feminized seeds.
If you still have the seed, sow it and perhaps you'll be lucky.

kind regards

Thanks Thai, This was the 2014 GT and was heavily Koh Chang. Great plant. I was curious also. It's 3 weeks old, claws with nitrogen excess and looks like a thin leaved sativa. I'll post it when it's done. Vin

Hi all! Epic thread. Now all I can think about is how many Zamaldelica beans I'm going to order.
If Dubi is still checking this thread I.d like to know more about his original zamal line.
I mean every smell description I read is screaming "kalite mang karot" to me but zamal comes in so many "qualities"those super potent ones sound a lot like "kalite une taffe" (The Creole term for one hit wonder). Is it a mix from different kinds inbred together? In that case the zamal dominant phenotypes would come in many shapes too and make the phenotypic hunt harder.
Obviously great breeding work anyway.
gracias adelante.

Hi Jahaze,

Zamaldelica hybrid has been inbred and refined since its origins.
I explained it in more detail past year in the other Zamaldelica thread:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=6960607&postcount=594

Regarding Zamaldelica's breeding, as i have repeated here several times, the selected Zamaldelica's Zamal dominant elite mothers (the ones selected from the original standard outcross: Zamal A x old killer Malawi/Meo Thai) are as close as possible to what i'm looking for in this hybrid: a short/medium sized Zamal dominant sativa with refined floral fruity terpenes (mango, rose flower petals, sweet carrot juice), with great bud density for a pure sativa, very high resin production, extremely high THC content and THC/CBD ratio, exceptional powerful and well focused uplifting psychedelic effect, easy to grow indoors in a moderate flowering time without hermie traits .... it took lot of time to find these exceptional elite Zamal dominant parental plants with the desired blend of traits i was looking for, that's why we are focusing the breeding of the strain towards this pheno and these parental plants and traits. Right now, there's no reason for me to go back through back crosses again to Zamal as it will bring the line the undesirable traits i've been trying to avoid, these zamal dominant elite phenos already have all what i was looking for.

This doesn't mean that i don't appreciate the more thai phenos or zamal/thai phenos of the hybrid, we indeed have just finished a new Zamaldelica standard selection/reproduction using the last seeds from the original outcross, and although we didn't find better zamal dominant phenos than in previous selections, we have found this time very nice thai and zamal/thai dominant expressions that have been reproduced in seed form and preserved in clone form, in fact all the interesting old and new non hermie parental plants have been also open pollinated in order to preserve the maximum of interesting genetic combinations. I'm very enthusiastic about the present and future of this strain, that's why we are dedicating so much time to inbred, open pollinate, etc ...

For those who are unsure of what is the concrete genetic combination of a current release, before you buy please check the information at our website, or better email us for more details. We are very open and honest to explain to our customers what are the current and exact genetic composition of our strains and hybrids.

Hope it helps with your doubts.

Welcome baduy,

The pure Zamal used in Zamaldelica was shared in clone form with me by Gerrit from Magus Genetics more than a decade ago, it's a highly selected mango/carrot pure Zamal from Chris/Gypsy's Zamal line. You will find more info about the pure Zamal parental plant used to breed Zamaldelica in the following link:

Thanks Dubi.
That means chances are good to find a good mango carrot pheno, that's the first type of weed I ever experienced as a teenager in La Réunion, much too young for smoking but hey best summer holidays ever! Would bring back somme sweet memories.
I've grown many types of weed since and the weird thing is every plant with a carrot smell I've ever grown were always the weakest and even the degenerated ones, none of those were zamal related so this carrot smell was something else, more like a marker of something wrong.
Sometimes during the 80's I found African weed with a slight hint of carrot in it but it wasn't obvious as they all had this semi-fermented smell due to harsh tropical curing.
I remember trimming sessions with my crew when we ad to get hands on one of those degenerated carrot phenos and I was telling my friends we should have a smoke with before deciding to throw it in the oil bin cause the best weed I ever tried was a carrot smelling one.
So we did and of course it was hemp at best. Today I'm pretty sure they still don't believe me, no need to say they would be the first ones to which I'd give a sample (with a note "I told you I was not crazy").
Saludos.

Super racy, I like:biggrin:

Smells just like my Purple Haze Malawi. The buds look similar too just a much better yield on the Zamaldelica. I'm guessing that's thai in them.

I popped two seeds and got a male and a female. I crossed the male with a few plants and have a clone of the female to play around with. Really cool plants.

Oh, that looks nice! How long did she go and what is the smell like(don't know PHxM)? Would love to hear a detailed smoke report!

Thanks zd in not very good at describing smells but it's very woody and I get some of the carrot smell people mention. I cut it at 13 weeks, I start counting when I see pistils.
