Zamaldelica x A5 and A5 x Zamaldelica. Day 47 since 11/13 began.

The middle horizontal row is Zamaldelica x A5 while the other two horizontal rows are A5 x Zamaldelica.

So far the only difference I can see is that the leaves on Zamaldelica x A5 are wider than on A5 x Zamaldelica.

Two weeks ago these nine were pollinated with A5 x Zamaldelica male pollen.

Looking to harvest around Equinox.

Apologizes regarding my frugal phone and its camera. . .

This is going to be fun @RizlaMan :dance013: Zamaldelica A5 Haze fem and A5 Haze x Zamaldelica regular version being grown in the same cycle. How many females do you have of each?

Looking forward to hearing more about how you find both versions differentiate during the second half of flowering!

A5 x Zamaldelica=6
Zamaldelica x A5=3

12 A5 x Zamaldelica and 3 Zamaldelica x A5 were planted 28 Nov 2024, ahead of the New Moon.
11 of 12 A5 x Zamaldelica and 3 of 3 Zamaldelica x A5 germinated.

25 Dec 2024 the photoperiod was changed from 18/6 to 11/13.

Controlled pollination of select lower buds on all plants was performed 24-26 Jan 2025.

Update: Flowering day 76

The plan is to harvest these at the end of next week, following the Equinox.

To me it appears there are three phenotypes: a short and squat one with short internodal distance (Northern Lights?), a tall, columnar with longer internodal distance (Haze or Thai or Zamal?), and a third which is in between the other two in terms of height and build (Malawi?).

For the small sample size of 9 I cannot tell any appreciable difference in the distribution of these phenotypes between A5 x Zamaldelica and Zamaldelica x A5.

The aroma is mix of rotten meat, floral scent, pine, and weed. Wonder what it will be like after being dried and cured...

Over a hundred mature, ripe seeds have been harvested with more left to be discovered later.

The plan is to update again after harvesting.

Until then,

Hoi hoi

Harvested on day 81. It was ready to come down, except one plant, and had become too odoriferous for the carbon filter. The wet weight after going through the bowl trimmer was 442g for A5 x Zamaldelica and 242g for Zamaldelica x A5.

The front and back (horizontal) rows were A5 x Zamaldelica and the middle row was Zamaldelica x A5.
