YUKONS Cabinet (w/ pics)

I have been following this thread for sometime now, and I would like to know, what were your main reasons for deciding to switch your cabinet to a veg clone cab rather than a flowering cab?

Where are you going to put the the two 600 watt bulbs?

well I don't plan to make a veg. cab always and forever. It'll always be able to be a flower cab when I/if I ever dont have lots of space.

right now our current situation gives me a big walk in closet where I'll keep the (2) 600's, and Ill be keeping my moms in the mom chamber, and use the flower area for veggin clones. (I have another cab where I do that already too)

just a few quik runs w/ the 600's and I'll chill for a while w/ just the small cab like I have been.

computer fan lol...I dont even use somethin that small in the cab (i have a 165 cfm shaded pole blower in there) I'm not sure exactly what size fan/fans ill be using, but they will be considerably bigger than that.

I'll be using digital ballasts, and air cooled hoods, horti bulbs, and venting into carbon in the attic.

Yes there will be a grow show!

It'll def. be an organic soil SOG in the closet using grow bags. (I havent got my head entirely into hydro yet...tho I'm close)

Strains are gonna be some of FJ's gear, and I've still got some SOL "Blockheads" and "BH f2's" and "TFB's". Aside from Fj's gear the only new things i plan to pick up are some "SWT #3", "black domina", and maybe SOL "Donk", and "bluebonic". (these won't all be run at the same time obviously, but I plan to keep at least 2 or 3 strains every run)

Out of all the cabs ive seen here on icmag I would have to say yours is my favourite by a long shot. Great work on the cab and cant wait for the next grow show.

...its been a bit slow around here due to the heat, so i gave the cab a break for a cpl months...I have dealt w/ mid summer heat issues in the past, and its always such a bummer....so like I said ive given things a break.

...but I have been gearin up for some nice new activity.

I took clones from my thunderfukinblockhead f2 mommy a cpl weeks ago and they are rooted and in soil now...Ill def. have them flowering in the cab sooooooon. (the are in my 70watt hps/floro veg. cab right now)


and aside from that I picked up some new gear for the closet...hehe:
-600 watt purple Lumatek ballast
-Hydrofarm Daystar AC hood
-600 watt hortilux bulb





Ill be adding a 6" vortex and carbon scrubber to the above, and well see what happens.

here are the seeds/seedlings I started...I plan to run the 600 in a big closet, but only gonna use 3x3 (9sq foot) and will run 18 plants in 3 gallon grow bags.

ill have my cab update soon...I have 4 thunder**** blockheads in there now.

the intake vents on the floor are 1.5 inch

the intakes on the side of the mom/clone chamber are 2 inch

the ones between the mom/clone area and flower area are 2 inch

Almost got it all together and ready to rock and roll! I am currently having a quandry. You did this with 2 150's. I have no extra lights around and am wondering if you would do a 400 or a 250 if you just did one light or is 2 150's just the way to go?

The measurements are the same as your flowering room.

w/ 1 light i would do no more than a single 250 in this space....the 2x150...is sumtimes too much in the summer even w/ the 160cfm fan.

...BUT....w/ the (2) 150s you have the option to run (1) 150 when u want or both.

400 would be too much

even (1) 150 would work fine tho....keep that in mind.

hey guys I finally have an update

I'm runnin' the first of my "TFB" F2 clones (matanuska thunderfuk x blockhead).

I've got 4 that are at 2 weeks flower.

I haven't flowered any of the the f2's yet, but I have a friend who I gave clones from the same mom to and he's about 3 weeks ahead of me.

I started to flower these when they were a bit smaller than what I normally do, and none of them were topped, so this SCROG should look a bit different.

I def. need to trim a few fans, but the training has been extremely easy.

...also check out my new closet setup....I'm downloading pics now, and I have quite a few plants about ready to go under the new 600 watter.

(I'll have a link in my sig. as soon as I'm done)
