YOUR WORST/DISAPOINTED/OVERATED STRAIN(S)

I have seen many a good strain on this thread with both positive and negative reviews... So many people tried 1 or 2 or 1 pak of this and that. I think what the real issue is breeder stability. You can find a holy grail with wal mart seeds, nirvana, acme.. or whatever. Everyone has a diamond in the rough. Its the stability that turns out good plants on a consistent basis.. on that note..not to hijack a thread but the only breeders I would ever purchase from at this time are

Mr Nice
Chimera
Ace/Canna
SOL

I guess I could include DJ ( never bought from) but price vs variability ratio isnt there.

Im sure I will get flamed here.. as I said everyone has diamonds in the rough and the above breeders will have a few runts or hermies also. But alas I think if you would obtain the numbers, do a lot of reaearch and crunch them, you would find in the aggregate these are a few of the most STABLE breeders there are. Its like gambling vs investing, yeah you can make it quick and big , or slow and big.
But What are the Odds? Everyone wants the latest and greatest,
I look for the most consistent return, at some point your mother will show her leaves.

the worst I ever had is definately 'Afghan Kush Ryder' (my missus loves it) out of 6 seeds only 2 germed one was 12 inches tall when finished the other was 2 foot and had a pair of balls

out of all the seeds ive planted my least favorite was
flo-djshort, smell and high were not what i was expecting, slow high dirty footsmell

this is hilarious!

I've grown flo enough to know this might be something else. flo is floral / perfume / woodsy / dry spice / incense ... cured for a year, the smell is, beautifully unique

A. did you get real flo seeds?
B. did you grow in your closet with your dirty laundry?
C. how did you grow your plant?

at least tell me this? purple or red stems? hollow stems? uncolor leaf? quick finisher? low yielder? shoots up at on-set of flower? these are all classic traits of flo

5 feminized seeds - all 5 small and green with only one seed cracking...

was disappointed as soon as i saw the seeds...

also hat a pack feminized aurora indica and got 4 good plants out of the 5 (the last was a cripple - so seemed to be bad luck with the hawaiixmauiwaui

i ordered a few seeds online and imagine my surprise when i found 10 freebies of... Nirvana's Hawaii x MauiWaui...

Well they didn't cost nothing so...

They were not feminized and all 10 very small but brown and shiny...

I threw 6 of them into some coco and all of them poped within 5 days

That actually did surprise me...

My worst strain to date was Querkle.I ran a ten pack and got 9/10 on the germ and 6/9 on f/m ratio.These plants for the most part look good and smell good but no power.So i turned some into ISO and mix the to,seems to work to get me to the next level.I thought that six was not enough to get a real feel for this strain but i thought for sure this was going to be a lot better then it was,from the looks of it.When i hear about other strains from this guy,there's no mention of this strain,lately.Grew out some cheese on that run also and it was pretty good and will grow in the future.Safe groing.

Hawaiian Maui Wowi from Sativa seed bank is very good, as is Ace Panama. MNS Mango Haze and Nevilles haze are very good. Royal Haze is good, Real McCoy is good, GreenHazeThai is very good as well.

Ive had alot of disapointing strains over the years, now I make my own seed. I pollenate Kush clones, like Headband, OG, and LA Confidential, with pollen from assorted top quality hazes

Now I have Headville Hazeband, and MangoLA. Top shelf all the way. No guessing/waiting game

Chronic is like a Lowryder, you need to grow it perfectly, get it really mature and treat it very carefully, to get the thing right. There are some very specific instructions re Chronic curing.

Done right it is really good, for a very commercial strain, she just needs real special care.... The info is out there.

I disagree on the Black Bubba Kush (black berry kush x pre98 bubba)....I have that strain going....5 days away from cut.....and it is outstanding......cut a tester 5 days ago....and the high was off the hook.....love the way it grows.....short....stocky.....not leafy at all ....easy to trim....excellent smell......super sticky....and off the hook trichomes are frosty......just killer.....NOTHING like the old blackberry kush.....

Can you specify problems in HGF K2? Nirvana K2 is still one of those herbs that are remembered by folks around here. Always thought that their K2 are F2's from HGF ware. Nirvana K2 was superstony and superyieldy, what else beginning grower could wish for.

hgf´s K2 is suposed to be the continued line of the old Positronics genetics which was yummy.
problems: its leaves performed like rough hawkbid. the hgf K2 version (imao) is an instable bred. fair to say, I only poped 10 beans. I was disapointed.

Sensi´s femmed Silver Haze, i grew the original in the 90´s and it is NOT the same, not even close, no high, no taste, way longer flowering time than advertised, huge yield tho 2 full males and 2 hermies out of 6 femmed seeds

Ace seeds femmed Orient Express, Tikal and Ace Mix, im sure something whent wrong when they made the femmed seeds, as none of my plants looked anything like the pics i´ve seen of the normal male/female version, they grew like a whine, taste, yield and effect sucked, and it took forever to finish, had 1 full male and several hermies. One day i will try some of their regular m/f seeds cause they get some realy interresting things, but never any female seeds from them again

i grew out Grapefruit x Blueberry from Chimera at the same time, and those where some wonderfull plants, so nothing wrong with the room

I grew Caramella about five years ago, and the memory of its spicy, cinnamon-flavored deliciousness has not faded! What was the problem with the Caramella you grew out?

a well done strain has to be stable or at least come up with a few pheno´s showing uniform growth patterns. caramella seeds are neither or imao. Caramella (a well selected pheno) is nice, no doubt.
