wait till the guitar solo

you just provided me with much sampling material, thank you! i love old jazz/swing/blues/mambo, anything pretty much...

they had a much lighter view of music back then... you can hear it in the syncopation... gives it a jumpy, light, airy feeling.... don't know, maybe i'm just crazy, but modern music is like brownies, dense and overpowering with one note, back then, it was like a souffle, light and with a cornucopia of overtones.

there was a lot of arrangement and orchestration, but it never becomes muddy... i LOVE it...

For country music, I am gonna have to say Chet "mr. guitar" Atkins, Merle Travis, Albert Lee or Jerry Reed

All time favorites....Andres Segovia and Django Reinhardt, Eric Johnson (when he sings though, he SUCKS)

Straight up shred masters....Jason Becker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai.

Other instruments....Moog Synthesizer - Keith Emerson!! Rick Wakeman!! John Lords!!

Oh, and Spanish guitar....Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and Paco deLucia (makes Esteban look like a bitch, although he is good)
