Well oldbastard i'll help you comprende, the remote is something we change the TV with!! in the 50s i was my parents remote, The lazy guy kisked back in the recliner watching the Friday night fights by gillett drinking would say hey put it on this or that channel, i loved turning the knobs,so actually I was there remote, in about 1958, man I am a old fart, 50years ago my brother shot a arrow through the same TV while we were watching the lone ranger, anyway the flicks are a west coast candy made by Gharadelli, little chocalate drops in a colored tube,anyway I'm enjoying reading this thread,

The good thing though was we only had a couple of channels back then, always wondered why they put so many extra numbers on the knob (a young analytical mind forming, lol.) Can you imagine doing the human remote thing today? Plus back then you did not think once about saying hell no or do it yourself. Also used to be the human antenna.
