Yogurt Cup Challenge

For me the Bay 11 is a very nice somewhat euphoric, functional high. I can see why it won the High Times Medical cup. It's really good medicine.

Here's the plant at 60 days, 10-15 days to chop.

Lower buds:

Vintage unknown, salvaged a couple years ago from storage. 1979
last known date of seeds. Smells like the coat check room at a swank
hotel, perfume and some pine.

Delicious.

Hi there, heres a short update of my two ladies:

The FotG in the vertical cup didn't like it in there, looked a bit sad all the time... :D
(Already harvested)

Santa Haze seedplant:

So far everything is ok with her, she definitely likes it in there :)

:tiphat:

Greetz,
Garuda.

Health problems, computer problems, camera problems. My Yogis are doing fine. Now have way too much of a camera. I need to find the auto button. I had some cool shots and lost every thing. I'll try to get some hots tomorrow.

No points for finishing first, but here's the first couple girls. I started 3 in first batch, but 1 just had too many issues.

Shot before cut:

Shot of cups with no roots showing and the writing if anyone wants to compare against entry time:

A cola shot!

And finally the cut/trimmed shot:

Yes, you will note, I'm not a very aggressive trimmer ... I vape exclusively ... sugar leaves are good to me :)

I'll post dry weights in a week or so with some cut bud shots. I'll also start paying a little more photographic attention to my two late entries that are about 3 weeks in now.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else come in!

yo weed curious, have you considered linning the inside of that mini gro box with white plastic or mylar?
kickass lil yogis as well!!!

Inside is just painted flat white, I'm likely going to abandon the Yogi box and build something with a bit more height, even just 6" more inches would make this so much more pleasurable to grow in, I've too much heat stress, scorch, and stress training going on in this box.

It's fun, I like the little plants, but would like a little less work just for the sake of work.

Was worth doing as an experiment though for sure!

you could also just take another identical tupperware and invert it on top of the one you have, thus doubling your height, i've seen one or 2 tubs on here looking like yours just double decker tall, full of little plants.
great work on the lil box and successful yogi cup harvest!!!
who's still in it with me???

My girl at day 32

My girl at day 32

My girl at day 32. I had to put her, still in the yogurt cup, inside another container with hydroton in it to keep upright. She is getting so heavy up top that she tipped over and I found her on the floor this morning. When the cup gets kind of dry on the bottom it weighs next to nothing, so there is no weight support if she gets heavy on top. My little fan blowing over the top of her was enough to tip her over. She's getting beefy.

That is definitely 1 option and probably the fastest route to go, may just do that, could be done and over on the weekend then.

And I still have 2 plants in there that have over a month left on them, so I'm still here with you Avi!

Those are looking good LG ... I had the same problem with weight distribution, once they dry out, they're way top heavy. I moved the more mature ones to the outside of the box so they have the wall on one side ... also were packed in together.

Yes Wc you need some way to support them once they get pretty large. Mine is full grown now at 17 inches from the top of the medium to the top of the plant and the buds are getting full. So all the weight is at the top and if they aren't supported, they are going to tip over.
I'm still pretty excited about my girl. I didn't really expect much in the beginning. I thought maybe it would get 10 inches tall and I might get a gram or 2 of dried bud but I think this hempy bucket style has really made all the difference. My girl has really thrived in my little hempy yogurt cup. Once she strated to get bigger I changed my expectations to maybe yielding up to 5 grams of dried bud. I think I may just reach that goal.

Here's my 2 remaining female yogi cup ganja plants.... still chugging along....
AND, im still chucking pollen off a bay 11 in a yogi cup.

ALSO, I'll respectfully request that y'all check out the Beer Cup Challenge threads (links in first post of this thread). I just had them re-opened (THANKS to payaso & ganja hasi) to provide a historical lineage of this micro container growing that we are experimenting with here in yogi-cup-ville.

Seriously, some great plants grown in those beer cup threads, AND in these yogi cups, bigups everyone for participating....

here is an even OLDER beer cup challenge link that i was previously unaware of from 2009:
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=133646
EDIT:
quote from the 2009 beer cup challenge thread:
I think this is an amazing thread, but I have a sense of humor about it all...and would love to see more of this! I think growing pot someplace where no one knows about it, yet right there in plain view fits into my paradoxical outlook on things.

Would I do it for one quality bud? Hmmmm....uh, YES!

well payaso, you got what you asked for, MORE of THIS.

:thank you:

Thanks AM I'm gonna check out the beer cup thread and I'm also going to check out the other yogurt cup challenges. I've been meaning to look at them and never got around to it. I have a little time today to give them a look.
Thanks also for the challenges. They give us something different and fun to do. This one has allowed me to try a growing style that I've wanted to try but never got around to. So props on many levels.
