Yellowing leaves (pics included)

I have 3 different strains all in 2qt pots. All 3-4 weeks in veg.
Soil - FFOF
Nutrients - Pure blend pro(grow) and Liquid Karma
I'm using tap water, PH tested after nutes (floats between 6.2-6.8)
Temps - 77-85F

I just started giving them nutrients last week at half doses, about 1 of every 4 waterings.

Only one of my girls is showing any problems, and she's the one I know is going to be the best.

The leaves are yellowing from the outside in, starting frow the lowest small fan leaves to the top... some other leaf tips are slightly burnt. I'm thinking Magnesium, but I want another second opinion before I try to correct it.

The pics are from 2 days ago, and the leaves are starting to yellow faster.
Thank you for your time IC.

The first thing I'd do is check and see if they need transplanting,if not,I think I would up the PBP ta full strength every other water until she greens back up.She looks hungry.later,BC

I haven't seen any root tips out the bottom of the pot yet.
I planned on transplanting all of them once my new box is done, I'm limited in space right now.

I'll give her some more nutes tonight and let you know how it goes.

Thanks

 dr. seuss did you add your lime? thats one thing that i think i am learning the hard way, you gotta get that llime in there. that pH is so important, and dont forget to test your water pre hand! the thing is, if you dont/didnt add the lime to your mix, then you have to correct the the pH at the source.

:spank: trust me i am suffering and lord i hope this plant makes it seems to be coming back around, but the slightest droop and i get nervous as all hell.

I think I would have to side with B.C. on this one. Looks to me like you’ve got a lot of foliage for the size of the pot and are in need of a transplant. Just cuz you can’t see roots coming out the bottom doesn’t mean they’re not all balled up in there.

Looks Rootbound, give her a lift if you need more time ,or just do a big transplant into what your planning on using.

I agree, the problem is rootbound. 3-4 weeks in a 2qt pot is a long time, even though you may not see any roots poking out of the drain holes they could be circling the sides of the pot. Do you have to water them frequently, if so then they are rootbound?

Peace...

Yep.... almost finished my box last night so I was able to transplant today with some make do lighting in it.

The 2 that looked the worse were wicked root bound, the other I'll do tonight.

Thanks again.

That's an MG def. Clearly. Dissolve about 1\2 Tsp Epsom Salts in warm water. let it cool and sprayt he leaves till the plant drips.... Should be gone in 3 or 4 days.

here she is now, with another plant thats showing the same signs. Magnesium?

For foliar feeding, what amount of epsom should I use in a 32 oz spray bottle and how often should I use it?

This thread has played itself out for most growers at one time or the other...

Yes this is a clearcut case of Mg def....

What can you do.... You can simple add 1/4 tspn epsoms to your fert program... foliar feed if you want....

but the fix....

the fix is using dolomitic lime in your mix.....

dolomitic lime contains magnesium.....

I keep some epsoms around just in case.... but the fix....

is dolomitic lime.....

Do you test runoff ph? If your medium is acidic then your nute ph may be too low causing lockout.

Has it improved yet?

If the ph is good than it's just not enough mag being given. I have to use calmax at 8ml/gal, this is just enough to stop my flowering lui from getting mag and cal defs. I use biobizz not PBP and don't know if there is enough mag and cal in PBP. Some strains love the calmag. Tere is even lime in my cocosoil.

The leaf tip burn may have been from your soil having alot of nutes in it when the plants were young and they were mildly burnt.

I haven't ever tested the runoff, becuase I never had a PH problem in the past. FFOF is pretty balanced and I always balance my water.

I'm going to use a mild epsom salt mixture tonight to wated them with, I'll post pics over the next couple of days.

Ph drops naturally as biological action increases.

Test your runoff, confirm then you don't have to wonder......
