Yellowing Edges

Hi all. The strain is Casey Jones, they are around 3 months old. These things were stuned for 2 1/2 months of their life, due to it being my first grow and my inability to determine watering/feeding needs. I fixed my problem and I have seen these plants triple in size over the last few weeks. I had burned them with fish fert and had to toss many of them out. I then switched to Foxfarm Big Grow and Tiger Bloom. These are in veg under 130 watts of 6500k CFL. pH is 6.5. I have been feeding(just starting off a regime) 1/2 teaspoons of big grow per gallon and 1/2 teaspon per 1 gallon tiger bloom every watering(only 3 times so far). These plants are missing probably 6+ sets of leaves because of my poor care the first few months and due to high temps and a plethora of issues. Anyway, these plants have improved DRASTICALLY now that I know what I am doing. One issue that remains is the yellowed edging on (almost) all my plants. What is causing this? Also, in the bottom pic... is this a mutation? I noticed this plant just started doing this. The new growth is coming out extremely "fluffy" and rounded at the leave tips.

The yellowing looks very bad in this pic, but that is damage not repaired from weeks ago. The yellowing isnt progressing that fast in my opinion, but it does seem to affect the first few sets of leaves at the bottom of the plant until about midway up.

Hmm?

I would say they need more nutes, if you haven't been feeding them a full nutes regime after 3 months then maybe its a nitrogen deficiency.

How often are you watering her and how much water? She looks like she is over watered, she does have nitrogen and magnesium deficiencies, the magnesium is just starting to happen.....

Well, I will surley increase the dosage, but I want to see what people would recommend. These are already in a rich soil(Moonshine mix). What nute deg is this exactly? A mix? What should I up the dosage too? Right now I am using 1/2 teaspoon tiger bloom and 1/2 teaspoon big grow per 1 gallon. Up this to a full teaspoon each?

I water only when the pot is very light and the plants begin to droop a bit. So probably every 3-4 days? I also feed at the same time. I water enough to get a decent run-off each time.

You do not need to use the tiger bloom, it has P and K in it, you are doubling up the bloom with the grow and bloom....

For the bigger ones, they will be needing transplanted soon,

You water every watering?

I would just use 1 tsp per gallon of the grow, use the bloom for flowering.
How long have they been in that moonshine mixture? 3 months? If so the nutrients are well used up in that mixture....... so they need fed weekly now. I remember helping you out with your other problem you were having with them.......

Also have you tested the pH of your mixture?

Few of your plants, the smaller ones look like some moisture stress, are you watering all the plants at the same time?

I would stop using the bloom for now, use 1 tsp of epsom salts and 1 tsp of the grow big every 5 to 7 days.

Your plants seem to be a hungry strain.....

Grow big should have plenty of P and K to last them with the grow you are using.. they need it but small amounts, they need more nitrogen right now than P and K, where in bloom they need more P and K and less nitrogen so it's reversed when flowering is switched over.

Yea, you had helped me out a few weeks ago. You had mentioned they were also having P issues and to double up the big grow and tiger bloom for the first few waterings before switching to just big grow. I had alot of problems and transplanted alot, so they have been poted without movement for around a month or more. Yea, I have been watering all of them at the same time. They seem to start to droop around the same time basically.

Ya, but I also said only for the first 2 times and back off using the bloom remember?
You should not have to water all them the same amounts, some are bigger than the others and some of the little ones are showing moisture stress....

For the little ones, I would wait 1 or 2 more days before watering them.
So just use the grow big for now, cause Yes I remember your plants having a P issue and N issue, but I said just use it for the next 2 feedings to get them caught up so they would stop using the issues....
So now you got the P issue underway.. now it's time to get the N issue going away.... use 1 tsp per gallon of water, feed every 5 to 7 days
so every other watering with the waterings you are doing every 3 to 4 days......

Do you lift the pots before and after watering?
Have you read 10K's method of lifting the pot and knowing when to water?

Yes, I lift the pots. Also, I have to clarify that I don't water all of them the same amount. It just so happens that when I checked them the past 2 times they all seemed about ready for a watering. I still haven't watered as I usually let the pots get pretty light. Hopefully tommorrow I can water with salts and the grow big and see what happens. Also, the yellowing still isn't progressing even around the edges. I am going to guess and say that the problem isn't as bad as it looks. I wasn't feeding these things at all thinking the soil would be enough. However, I was obviously wrong for quite a while. The yellowing seems to be exactly the same in the same spots as it was before I started "fixing" the problems I had created. The only difference being now the plants are actually starting to visibly grow day by day instead of month by month. Thanks for the help.

Well, give us an update after you feed them ok, will take a few days before you see a recover; they should start to have more vigor; just be careful not to over water them..... cause you will stop nitrogen from being absorbed right from the saturated soil.
