here is some pics of the problem. These are my current plants. i am using lime so i dont think its a ph problem...maybe i mixed the soil a little hot. i know mandala strains dont like a lot of nutes. i went by reds directions. thanks for the help...

bump...help would be apriciated. This soil mix is dominating outdoors altho i have added xtra ferts outside (FF tiger bloom and Neptunes Harvest as well as some Blackstrap). OD plants are in pots as well alltho they are 5-10gals not one gals. thanks

You put clones straight into that mix? How big was the original root ball when you put it in there?

That seems like burn to me, that soil is over powering them.

When you say 'no added ferts at this point', you are forgetting that blood and bone meal contain HIGH levels of N and P, respectively, and you have fried your young plants. Always start out with a medium that really DOESN'T have any nutes in it, like ProMix, seedling mix, or rapidrooters, and wait until the plants are at least 5 nodes before putting them in soil that has any ferts in it, and even then, I'd personally be hesitant unless I knew that my strain could handle it.
Always start weak and work up. It is difficult to remove excess ferts from a mix with such a high level of organic material.

stonered out and didn't realized it was hashberry, they don't like a ton of nutes anyways

yeah i think its burn too...i started the clones in a bubble cloner, moved them into solo cups of str8 promix. Once they got root bound in the cups i put them in the soil mix...

What makes me wonder is this. I put one of my clones out doors (same exact setup, same pot, same mix, it has had more water due to petty above avg rainfall) and its a little yellow but no brown crispy leaves. Nothing dieing as they are inside. Any thoughts? Ill try and get pics of the OD compared the the ID soon.

What im thinking about doing is seperating the soil from the rootballs by gently submerging/washing them in a 5gal pail. Then ill replant them in the same pots with promix soil only...feed with half strength FF Veg Nutes see what happens after they recover from the shock...

Anyone have any thoughts about this? Anyone ever try this? I dont want to kill them but I Gotta get em outta this soil...

Thanks for the above help everyone

If they haven't been in the ferty soil that long, you might not have to do much removal of the dirt.
Outdoors, plants have MORE than enough light and fresh air and can handle a higher nute load, in the same way that a plant grown in a CO2- enriched environment and under very intense HID lighting can take a higher EC than its counterpart under flouros in poorly-exhausted space. Also, outdoors, your roots can spread quickly into soil that does not have those burn/lockout conditions, or if it is in a container, you can be reasonably sure that rainfall has been flushing it for you.

Anyway, instead of trying to manually remove the soil from the root ball, I'd flush it HEAVILY with plain pH'd water and then let it get fairly dry before transplanting it into a slightly larger pot of straight promix and going back to a normal feeding schedule.

thanks again for the help stink...i apriciate it.

ill throw 5-10 gals of water through each of them and proceed with a repot from there. Start out with 1/4 strength FF nutes after....thanks
