Yellowing and grey-brown patches

Genetics: Nirvana's Bubblicious
Seed/Clone: Seed
Hydro/Soil: Ocean Forest Soil/Perilite
Light: 160watts CoolWhite tubes [haven't turned on the other lights as of yet]
Age: 12 days
Food: none yet [eventually GrowBig]
Water/Ph: Distilled*/haven't checked, but ASSuming it's fine now
Circulation: Fan
Symptom: The first two leaves [after the preleaves] started to turn pale green to now almost yellow from the tip then procedded down the leaves. And now small patches that begun a light greay and now brown have started on the same leaves.

I have checked the OG FAQs and have read MANY posts. Can't decide wihat the problem is. The grey spots I read may be Boric Acid deficiency. And the yellowing of the leaves I thought could be nutrient lockup since I used tapwater to make them sprout, pHed VERY hard. The two preleaves haven't yellowed so I'm assuming it's not Nitrogen defiency. Usually they yellow first [if they haven't 'grown' off]? I have watered twice with distilled water and haven't noticed a difference. I'm waiting for the soil to dry again so I can give them a light feeding of Grow big. My NLs are in the same soil [diff medium ofcourse]/same age and they are very lush green and healthy. Thanx. :joint: :joint:

No matter what always ph adjust your water! although distilled saomes in at 7.0 not horrible I would get the 250-350ppm ferts going. Remember not to overwater and it seems like you have a handle on that. You can always foliar feed em too, at 1/4er strength. question; you said their in the same soil but different medium how is that?

I meant different pots oops. Here are some pics. Although the soil looks like it has barely any perilite I assure you the drainage is fine. Check my gallery for the full size images.

I'm thinking it's a little early to foilar feed....? I'll wait until next feeding and watch the results. Hopefully a light feeding of the GrowBig will take care of it. Only one plant has the spots and the infected spot is drying.

The two leaves with the patches have died off. The soil is too wet to give a feeding; I should have fed them earlier instead givin them pure water. I'm hoping it doesn't spread to the other leaves. All I can do is wait until the next feeding; either tommorow or the next day...

Alright - I have some Pure Blend Pro (Soil) that I can add to my water next time. But I thought that the Ocean Forest had enough ferts in it already.

Vinegar is very dangerous to use to adjust ph and seedlings need ph around neutral to slightly acidic. over 8.5 is off the charts so I would start out using bottled water rather than try and adjust water that alkaline. If you do ph down would probably be safer or food grade citric acid.

Seedlings could easily be killed with vinegar and the peat plugs are more acidic so they helped for a time. BOG

Thanks a lot for your help!! I will use PH Down instead of vinegar from here on.

The good news is that they're already looking better than before.

I will also start using RO water to feed them with.
