Yellow PH pen = new way to try to kill plants

I've used everything from the $15 cheap-o pens to a $350 combo. The pen I found to be the best for me was the $65 blue lab ph pen. Been using the same one for about 2 years and no complaints. Calibrate every month or so and it's pretty much always dead on in the 7.0 solution

there are quite a few posts on organic soil that state water ph isn't much of a factor in living soil grows because the living soil makes the adjustments. in hindsight it was stupid/uinformed to not test/calibrate the ph pen. I went to a better light at the same time I bought my quality calibrated ph pen so all I can say is that now the plants look a lot better and I know what my soil (rols) and water ph are with accuracy. I do regular calibrations.

1 ph in a month is huge. Also if you're in a hydro setup trying to get your solution in that 5.8 range but are even 0.5 ph too low you could be doing a hell of a lot of damage to your plants
I'm sorry, i meant .1. it's a .05 accuracy so let's say .15. Just checked it for the first time in a couple months of weekly use and it's off by .04.
