np dude anytime! If you ever want to discuss something that you disagree with it's no problem at all; I don't get angry when someone does not agree with me, I am a person too I am wrong sometimes just like anyone else..... I am still learning new things I don't like if it people are afraid to disagree with me at all so if someone disagrees with me I like to talk it out rather than flaming and yelling.

damn dude, that is a lot of money to spend on water......... you would have been better off getting an RO system put in if you wanted to keep using that kind of water....... keep me updated how the switch to tap water goes would like to be kept updated :)

well thank you both for being patient and understanding and helping me out ... i watered today with 2cc's micro, grow and flower (before i read your post) its a very weak blend and used my tap water ... after the nute mix and tap water my ph (with strips) was 6 ... if the peat is screwing up my ph i dont know what to do ... roots are already through the mesh ... but when i transplant i may try to disolve the peat in water then ... hopefully i can save these plants (yes i have more but i want to do them later) ... again sorry for the hostility its just this is the forst time any 2 people have agreed on what my problem is (ph) thank you both

If peat is messing up your mixture then you need to get some pH up or down.
Right now I would not mess with the peat, keep it there for now and just feed them.

You will know in a few days they will recover.

You don't want to cause too much right now..... so just feed them first and we will go from there.

Keep us updated though ok :)

gave them 1/4 strength nutes and they loved it! perked up and new growth is good and green ... they are also under hid lighting now so hopefully they will take off! ill post pics soon

here are some update pics from 4 days ago (just uploaded now) since these pics plants have doubled in size but are starting to droop??? roots are now growing out of the drain holes of some of the plants ... maybe i need to tranplant? anyway ill post those pics later ... here are my pics from 3/26 ... thanks again for the help!

oh yeah plants are more green than they look in these pics ... the hps (i know not a veg light but the only hid i had at the moment) makes everything in my builing look yellow ... lol ... like i said plants are bigger now and i think i may need to transplant?? i want to go to soil next .... is this ok? i want to use a moonshine mix and just water with tap water ... any info on this? again i will post pics of my bigger now drooping plants!

3/30/08 update

3/30/08 update

here are pics from today ... 3 are wilted looking ... any ideas why? they dry fast under the 600hps but i water every 3 days now and the others seem fine ... there are roots growing out of 2 of the wilted plant cups (the 3rd has always looked droopy and is by far the smallest) anyway here are the pics

oh yeah i dont think it is heat (i did move them to the outside though! ... but it stays between 75-85 except on cold cold nights and it has gotten down to 65

My 2 cents/ get them outta those cups and get your ph taken care of. I'm sure stitch has pointed out those twisting leafs and a few other things that point to ph. These are 3 weeks old growing in canna coco and canna nutes

By no means am I as smart as stitch when it comes to sick plants

your plants look great ... i know about the ph problem ... i guess its from the peat cause other than that its just perlite and vermiculite ... i water now with nutes and my water with nutes is at a ph of right at 6 (still waiting on my meter but the strips (best i could buy) says 6) my run-off is also at 6 (runs right through when i water) i want to start using a moonshine (pre0ferted) mix soil .... but that has peat as well??? the guy i got the mixture from has grown successfully several times with his moonshine mix with only non-adjusted tap water (mix has lime) but right now i dont understand why i am having ph problems if it is at 6?? anyway why is it only 3 of the plants? im a complete newb so sorry for all the questions but i have no one else to ask ... thanks for your reply by the way! should i dissolve lime in my water (read that somewhere) and water my plants with that?? or use lemon juice? if so how much per gallon?? and oh yeah ... which of my leaves are twisting? i thought they were just droopy??? the bottom is twisted and dead as i was watering before with ph of 7 .... now im worried about the new growth??

Hey doesnt, is there any way you can get some different lighting for them?
ALot of times when strains don't like the improper spectrum they will droop like that and grow very slow and sickly looking......

A few fluros will do good for now with the size they are......

If some of the mixtures are only having problems, there some of the mixture was not mixed right or something......

Are those 3 the same strains as the others?

they are all ak48's and the 1 drooped under 160watts of flouros (t-12 3500k) tubes and 600watts hps (all the others grew alot faster than with the hps ... i have a 400 watt mh on the way (well i have the bulb ... waiting on the balast) that i want to put on a light mover in my veg mother cab (8' x 20") i think i still have a ph problem as the lower leaves are getting yellow with bown spots on them again! i want to transplant them into my moonshine mix this weekend (amended with lime) so maybe the problems will stop ... i want to get my plants healthy and bigger and take a few clones and flip them to 12/12 by mid april (2 more weeks or so) is this feasible?? oh by the way out of the 3 that were droopy after a watering the 2 that dont usually drooped pepped right up but the 1 small one still droops ... anyway thanks for the help ... im sure ill eed plenty as i havent even started flowering yet!!!

heres my veritcal shelves i have the mobile x4 (4 walls surrounding a light)
pots are 1.5gal so i dont want my plants getting too big ... at what size do you think i should flower?

For some reason it seems a lot of strains don't like the mixture, have seen them grow not so good in perlite mixtures...... I think the peat may have also played a role in this, good call switching to moonshine mix; I am sure your problems will stop when you switch over. Good call :)

Yes, those are fine, as long as they don't get too much bigger than 12-14 in tall.

As soon as you get them into those pots and let them recover a bit and then switch over to 12/12 so that way they won't root the pot right away when you get them in there to recover and they should have plenty of space to finish out flowering.

The peat pucks are great for seedlings and clones, but putting them in the mixture you did seems to caused the problem with peat and the perlite/vermic mixture.

Peat pucks have always came out around 6.5 pH for me which is too high for your mixture, so that will cause it to swing.

i mixed my mix tonight ... ill transplant them tomorrow ... should i really saturate the soil first or after the plant is transplanted?

You water the soil after the plant has been in the mixture, if you saturate the soil before it's in the mixture; depending on how long the mixture sits it can attract mildew due to no plants being in there and depending on how big of a mixture you made.......

so wait till the plants are in the mixture and water accordingly.

transplanted today ... plants look terrible??? droopy and wilty?? i watered with about (probably less) than a cup of plain water??? is this normal after transplanting?
