x-stream 20 plant aeroponic propagator - Need Help

Hey Folks i bought this x-stream 20 plant aeroponic propagator

guy in the grow shop said its the best way to clone ?

well not for me i have wasted 20 cuts as none rooted and didnt show root nubs even after 11 days

i am on my second run with 20 cuts and its been 5 days still no signs
of anything happening

here is how i clone

tap water sat 24hours before i use it

i fill a glass with water and add a small drop of clonex to water
i take a cut and place straight into glass..

then i take a clone from glass and cut just below a node then i place into a shot glass full of clonex then i place into cloner

cloner has water in at ph6.0

every 2 - 3 days i spray with clone start which is crap IMO

I Have 2 x 55watt pll bulbs just above the cloner

i dont no what i am doing wrong

guy in hydro shop said he puts tap water in res turns on
and dosent go near it...and it roots no probs

sorry but thats bullshit i just feel ripped off

the res is 22c

and thats in the coldest part of my house

Try checking out Snype's cloning thread HERE. It's got lots of useful info regarding aero cloning, it may help you find the solution.

A little more info could be useful also... what is the cause of the clones death(s)? do they just go mushy at the stem, do you get brown sludge / slime? lots of reasons why it might not be working for you currently.

Some people like to run a light dosage of bloom nutes as it can help aid faster rooting, it also helps if the mother plants the clones came from are in top health and recently watered (again, a light dosage of bloom nutes a day or so before taking clones is often recommended).

I also wonder... 2x 55w PPL lamps right above the cloner could be way too much light, causing them to burn through their food reserves in their leaves before they can throw out roots.. Clones don't really need much light to root.

So check out the link above to Snype's formula, even if you cannot replicate it exactly, it may help solve your current problems

What u do with the clones after 11 days? Were they dying? Dont expect anything till 2 weeks in.... ur not snype yet.

Dont spray them unless they r droopy. I dont even use a dome. Let the clone decide it wants roots cause the water is below not coming from above.

i dumped the clones because there was no change after 11 days and the were going yellow
from inside the leaf going out to the edge of the leaf

If they r going yellow they need nutes is all. Very little. Its like injecting them with nutes since its straight up the stem... no roots...

I go by leaf colour. But snype has a formula that should be a good starting point.

Do you need to clone with this specific method? Are you running an aero system for flowering, or dwc, rdwc? If you don't absolutely need to clone with that method, pm me and I will give you the details to how I clone with 100% success.

hey harley420 if you put your cloner on for 15mins then off for 15mins it works a treat

every strain i got has rooted in 7 days except chem d still root nubs all my bodhi strains
rooted 7 days...i am very happy i used plain tap water..when should i give nutrients ?
