Oo so busy this time of year.

I'll have to get back at a good solid Tikal x hon report. Cerebral As f***. Paranoid, very easy. Great taste, decent smoke, somehow we landed in the land of racey haze x central or maybe Colombian, not chill on the couch weed(yoo many thoughts if body isnt busy, paranoia/racey/bad). Great get up and go get it done weed.

Interesting comment Ncali. I have purchased and grown (and harvested) Tikal R7 x Honduras, just like you from ACE R&D. I don't know what to expect from it as I've never had either pure Tikal or pure Honduras so far. That will probably change in the foreseeable future. The only American ganja I'm familiar with is Panama which was a revelation !

But back to TR7H. Since it's an R&D strain there isn't a lot of info about it, so your comments are quite appreciated. I've had 4 females. Whilst in flower, 3 had a pleasant fruity resin smell. I was a bit disappointed though as TR7H is supposed to have a peachy smell but I couldn't detect any peach in it. But fruity it sure was.

And then there was the fourth female : a completely different pheno (very sativa-ish) with the most exquisite flowery smell. It conjured up the fragrance of a lilac bouquet carried away by a spring breeze. Lovely stuff ! I need to post a picture as they looked quite different. Anyway I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to sample them but given your report i'll be on my guard and make sure to actually do something other than sitting staring at a screen while high 😂!

This is the one pic I have by the end. They were grown with an 250W HPS. I grew them all with a 10/14 photoperiod. They sprouted and were vegged for about a month under the autumn sun in 1L pots on my balconey. I expect the autumn light to be almost equivalent to instant 12/12.

The tall lanky one, on the center left, had a completely different behaviour and as mentioned before, a different -and the loveliest- aroma. It sure took its sweet time for sexing, more than a month i think. While the others had sexed, this one kept growing and growing.

I hope this difference in behaviour will translate in different highs.

Wow thanks for sharing the pics, those are really insightful as to what these genes can express. Thank you very much sharing your grow experience, I would love to hear how they all smoke. Any standout smells for you? How did you like the Panama?

I am pretty convinced I got a bit of haze influence from the Tikal, not at ALL what I was expecting from these genes. I have grown oth green x hondo before and it was more Honduras leaner. This was very haze in smell and terps, especially when burned. Very distinct. But effect was more influence from American weed, fast moving motivated weed. My buddy says it makes him want to work out LOL.

I'm a bit of a couch potatoe lol. It's really nice nature weed imo. We like it. Its a good time to be outside where we live, so this is very nice to smoke right now. Almost all gone, Jar is almost empty. and the cut is back in the flower tent.:good:

Here's a Panama malawi plant about to finish.

I haven't had the opportunity to sample the harvest yet but I intend to write a vape report for each plant (yeah I don't smoke just volcano vaping at home).

Regarding the Panama, that was my first south American weed. The irony is that they were freebies. Awesome plant ! Super productive (but also a nute hog), pretty sturdy plant, the main stem in particular was impressive : solid as a boat mast ! The vaping was awesome : velvety vapor of incense and sage.

As for the high, it was totally crazy, I wasn't prepared for it : a euphoric rush that caught me by surprise, so intense I can say in retrospective it was actually manic. I felt the euprhoric rush from my guts and it felt a bit overwhelming but positive at the same time : I'm usually a mild mannered person, more of a listener, introspective personnality. The rush picked me up and I stood up and started to dance and giggle and sing. It made me a bit crazy really as if I had lost control. Listening to new music on it proved ecstatic. I was tioally engulfed in the music. At one point I felt the urge to draw ! I have no drawing skills but I felt the urge to just draw in colours with crayons and I just did. The colours wowed me. The end was a bit more sedative (yawwwn) but I was left with a very positive impression.

Other occasions weren't as crazy as this first time but still very good : very stimulating, euphoric, good for creativity, long lasting (3h++), clearly psychedelic (close eyed vision with the music when you just let yourself drift). Works very well with music (or maybe that's just me). Can be a bit manic when you don't know what to expect. The drawback is that I wouldn't use it for an evening or the night as its intense cerebral stimulation, which persist in the afterglow, can disrupt your sleep cycle, so I wouldn't recommend after 6 PM. Absolute daytime ganja. I cut it at 11 weeks because nute deficiency was too heavy but it could have gone a week longer or two I think.

Panama is now part of my permanent allies along the Lebanese and Nanda Devi and I will reproduce it to have enough seeds for a lifetime.

In conclusion about the Panama, I would say that it was so good that it gave me the desire to explore other south American strains, which is not something I would have had considered before and also that long flowering strains aren't that difficult to grow and totally worth it. I'm ready for 16 weeks 😁😁😁 !

This is a vapour review of the four phenos I've had.

Based on the pic in post 62, from left to right, we have:
  • the thin pheno,
  • the lanky pheno,
  • the thick pheno,
  • and the not-so-thin pheno.
My biggest disappointment is that, overall they’re all relatively homogenous, as I was expecting more variation in the high, especially regarding the lanky one. Their reviews:

Thin Pheno: basic soft up sativa high with rudimentary minimal warmth. Softly pleasant and of underwhelming potency so you need to pack up a bit. Not unpleasant by any mean but lacking a bit in character. Vapor smell is soft incense.

Lanky sativa pheno : creeper high. Reminiscent of Panama but not as good. Vapor is aromatic incense but cruder than Panama's and without the velvety finish of the latter. Pleasant warm high but not satisfying. A bit lacking.

Thick Pheno: close to lanky pheno but the bud smell is very resinous and fruity. High is close to the lanky pheno.

Not-so-thin pheno : bud smell is of fermented fruits. The smell translates to taste when vaped. Nice sativa up high but shorter lived than Panama, for the most part a one hour long affair. Interesting bit : when I crank up the vaporizer temp to the point where the balloon is filled with thick white vapor, a flowery peach smell shows up. That thick a vapor makes me cough, but its highly resinous quality is unmistakable.

Overall, this is a plant that was reminiscent of Panama but with milder potency and effects. this one leans more toward the feel good warm up sativa high than to the fully fledge psychedelic character of its counterpart. The vapor smell is also close to Panama's incense signature but not velvety and much much fruitier too. I will definitely finish my jar but I won't repeat. Looking forward to trying pure Honduras.

PS:
I forgot to add, but yet another difference between Tik.Hon vs Pan. is that the latter is slightly anorexigenic while the former gives you the munchies no doubt, probably becos' of its kush influence.
