DT, I've saved thousands over the last couple years by buying a Nvidia Shield, downloaded kodi, free live tv, free movies(some in theaters), series(netflix series are on there). All in 720p or 1080p. All 10 seasons of X-files are on multiple addons. I had a $150 cable bill back then..gone. Plenty on there for the kids too..,just watched the new peanuts movie...took me back...

Thanks for that info. I have the "triple play" right now. The bastards just keep raising and raising my bill. $180 a month now. It would be hard to get off cable though. There are too many shows I watch that are series.

New series episodes are constantly updated. For example the Exodus and SALTS addons are pretty much like Netflix on steroids. Everything you can think of...so with ooma for a phone, my only bill is a $50 internet. With prosports and sportdevil you also can see live tv, all sports, no more paying for UFC fights..

it has been a year since we went with Appletv and certainly dont miss the constant looking for something interesting, plus the $35 compared to $140+ is pretty cool, more for my lights.

Appletv runs kodi pretty well I heard, also Amazon fire/stick, android boxes, windows...
