I remember way back at the laughing moon website 'weedbase' when I had first tried gh flora series nutes in hydro. I was noticing something in the bottom of the res that looked like little flecks of "gold". haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

After posting a thread to ask about, someone said it was probably some vermiculite that had blown off a soil planter and ended up in the res. My clones had begun life in a perl/verm mixture plug tray before trans to the rocks, so it made sense and needless to say "my prospecting days were over" heh heh heh

Talk about embarrassment...pfeeeew

Here's the Official response from Scott's(someone may have posted it already I just didn't look:joint:

the small beads you are seeing in your Potting Mix with Fertilizer are not fertilizer beads. Many consumers confuse these beads with insect eggs. The small tan or yellow fertilizer particles absorb moisture allowing the liquid fertilizer inside to pass out of the prill and into the soil. If there is a store near you that sells Osmocote Plant Food, you can compare what you found in your soil with the plant food. Potting Mix with Fertilizer also contains perlite that looks like tiny white gravel. Perlite helps improve the drainage of the soil.

Again, thank you for taking the time to let us know of your concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any additional help to you.
