Would you want ACE Seeds to carry Romulan?

I see your IG, but cannot for the life of me find your website. Could you direct the stupid among us towards the right general vicinity? :thank you:

Did you find it yet? There's a direct link to the website right there on the IG home page. Says "SEEDS AVAILABLE" with arrows pointing down to the link...

Put in my order request Sunday. Received a reply within hours. Sent payment next day Monday, received confirmation that payment arrived along with notification that my order shipped - complete with tracking number. Package in the mail yesterday. Six days total. Top-notch professionalism. No messing around.

Doesn't sound like the Romulan I always regret not grabbing years ago from Federation, but I am a sucker for heavy pine terps (my favorite really) and oddly that profile seems to be rare these days. Whenever I get around to running them I plan to run VG's PTK alongside them.

No doubt service will be equally excellent through Ace should they end up vending them. But for those who wish to keep orders within the states, I can vouch for RG.

Nice packaging with 16 healthy looking beans inside! Thanks Jake for a smooth pleasant transaction!

Noice post Shmavis. If I weren't breaking my neck to afford my amendments before summer is out I'd be all over this RMFN.

Thanks Gauss. Yeah, I hear ya, never enough extra funds for all the beans I’d like to buy. :)

The kicker though is that I was going to wait for these to vend through Ace because there’s a couple Ace offerings I want to get yet. But I don’t care a whole lot for sending cash in the mail, so ordered direct from RG so that I could break it up a bit instead of having a lot of cash in one envelope. Then a few days ago, after my order was placed and before it arrived, I get an email from Ace saying they’re accepting CC payments again...

And I thought

Time to do some shopping!

Thank you Shmavis! Awesome post brother, appreciate you letting people know how things went for you.

This is great news.. and exactly what Luis said he had to take care of first, before he wanted to place an order and carry my beans.

I need to contact him. :)

Does he have a grow journal on here? I'd love to look it over.

And, Shmavis.. if you make a journal, of this grow.. Ill gladly hook you up down the road, for taking the time to report your experience (so I can get some more independent testing info on these seeds). :tiphat:

Thank you! It took me a while to finally decide on packaging.. I liked the hologram looking ones so they got chosen in the end.

The S1 seeds getting released in September will be sold in 10 count and 5 count packs. Along with some bulk options for people looking for 50+. No bonus seeds in those packs though (I've learned that telling people, who helped with the packaging, that they can put extra beans in the packs.. just messes with their heads. I had to quality control all the packs counts before I security sealed them)..

5 packs will be close to the $80-60 range.

I can confirm CC payment is working. I placed an order yesterday. A Visa card was denied but I think it has to do with calling the card provider and lifting restrictions on the card. A Master Card debit worked.

Thanks friend for the kind words. :)

Ah, Jake, don’t count on me to bring the goods brother. I switched to LED this past season after growing the same way since around ’04 under HID (started in ’98 but took some years to get a system down) and got my ass handed to me. Plants did rather well under a COB panel but very few did well under a Quantum Board.

I am getting ready to try to pop a lot of seeds in my vault that are of questionable viability. That could take quite a while or it could be over shortly, depending on germ rates. I will also try to focus on what changes I need to make to have the light perform properly - or should I say me perform properly… I had already planned to grow Pine Tar Kush shortly after, so these will take the plunge at the same time. I will definitely share my experience - but I imagine others will beat me to the starting gate, which I look forward to, to know what to expect. And hopefully I have a better handle on the light when the time comes - or perhaps I'll have gone back to HID...

Truly excited at the prospect of heavy pine terps along with what sounds to be a exceptional high. Thanks again!

FWIW a ton of my 10 packs are actually 11 packs, I think the name of the game is to give only one extra to avoid a miscount and shorting the pack instead. I'm just guessing though.

Welcome to ICMag RomulanJake

Glad you found our room on ICMag, hope you feel comfortable in this beautiful community we have built throughout these years :)

We at ACE have been following with interest your with work with Romulan. I'm also glad to see the interest of the community about your work.
You must feel proud of being able to keep the original clone for so many years and for being the next generation that preserves it and works with it.
Romulan is a classic in North America, but it's fairly an unknown strain here in Europe.

We at ACE are mainly interested in breeding with landraces and with old school heirlooms.
We also like to help some breeders to distribute their work through our website, but mainly breeders that i like how they work and whose work match with our working philosophy.

We don't breed with the strains we offer from other breeders, we just retail their seeds through our website.
Right now, we at ACE are too busy preserving old landraces, refining and producing fresh stock of our strains in the different formats, developing and evaluating new strains and hybrids from our genetics, etc .... and beside the joint project we are doing with Yo Sammy, we cannot take right now the commitment of doing more breeding projects with other breeders, so by now we are mainly interested to help you Jake with the distribution of your seeds here in Europe ... hope you manage to produce through line breeding, backcrossing and selfing seed lines that hold the quality and traits of your original Romulan clone.

Of course, i would prefer to discuss with you the details privately in its due time.
Have a great start of week, dubi - ACE Seeds -

Dubi, thanks for the official welcome! Very nice to find you on here good sir. I sent you an email regarding moving forward, as we have everything in place to supply you as you see fit. Just email me back when you have time and are ready to discuss the details. And keep up that amazing work!

Btw, is Old Timers Haze available anywhere? I'm being told that I need to try it out, and that's it's an amazing preservation you did over there with it. :)

Cool bro. Youre gonna love being part of something with Ace. Loyal fans they have. I love Romulan as well.

Old timers haze is available from Ace. That pack has all the phenos. Also there are packs specifically for the green pheno or the purple pheno available. Those are labeled Green Haze and Purple Haze. I heard they dont sell directly to US anymore, so hit up a distributor if you need to. Ive used OASeeds for Ace gear and it turned out good.

Was wanting to read about Federation's Romulan again, as it's been many years ago that I last read about it in the Big Book of Buds. The strain library at KGB uses the entries from the BBB volumes as its source.

But the reason I am sharing this is the first to comment on it was VicHigh.

One thing is for certain, the original pure Romulan has much more sativa than a simple Kush/Afghani. Much more aroma as well, it’s pungent pine bud aroma is what makes it stand out as something unique. The original mother clones have been around for about 20 years. Another term that keeps popping up when describing Romulan is the old California blue indicas. I met with Romulan Joe a little while back and discussed Romulan’s heritage, I think I recall him mentioning some Mexican sativas but don’t quote me on it, I wasn’t taking notes, haha."

Interesting. Can anyone speak to what California blue indicas are?

Do you have any pics of the phenotypes from your seed release that resemble the clone only?

Yes, a few are up on this post. Other pics can be seen on our IG page: @romulangenetics ..also if you visit there, we have a link to our website in the IG bio that has more pictures as well in the SEEDS section underneath the listing for our regular Romulan seeds.

Page #3 here, the flower shot that's shown first is from the regular seeds pheno that is just like our clone cut. Slight difference in the reg seeds pheno, much stronger pine in that one, but the plants grew identical and bud structure was also identical.

Going from a bigger pack to smaller pack would suit me better, im guessing for other people too that dont grow out lots of seeds.

Also ace as a distributor would solve import tax etc :)

Good luck with your venture Jake.
