cobo you must have yours turned up too high, you dont need a carbon filter with this lol!You have to turn it down until you dont get a perfumy smell, you shouldnt be smelling much of anything when its working correctly.

Then I dont understand, mine works and I've got an 8 by 8 room full of flowering plants, you are the first person I've seen to have problems with its effectiveness

I don't like it either. It just smells far too much. The neighbours can smell it in the hallway even if it's on 1 or only even on half. Carbon filter's a better option for me.

I was just wondering where most of yall kept your Vaporteks. I usually keep mine in the flower chamber as it doesnt work so well sitting right outside of it. Would like to know if any of you find it more effective elsewhere.

cheers,

I keep mine in the flower room,I sure have no complaints,If you're using a carbonj filter and co2 enrichment you better have a nice setup.

If I was an indoor guy, that's totally how I'd feel too.

This "scent" you all keep speaking of eludes my growroom, just lucky I guess.Or maybe I have it adjusted correctly?I definately dont have any kind of perfume smell when I walk into the flower room, none at all.I use classic neutral carts

Cobo I just caught a glance of your vaportek unit on another thread and for the life of me,I dont know what the hell you have there, but its not a vaportek 4000.Its not even a vaportronic battery unit(I have both one for flower room one for cure room).I dont know what the hell you have there bro,but it makes a little more sense to me now.I see where you are getting your "perfumy" smell from.A few folks have put down the vaportek 4000 on this thread,I have the feeling they never actually used one either lol.Lets be careful folks and make sure we dont give somebody info thats incorrect. My vaportek works great, does not put out a perfumy smell, and you definately dont need a carbon filter with it.That would be kinda silly dont you think?

Yes your right Skeletor, the unit I and Cobo use IS NOT the OPTIMUM 4000, it is a smaller unit that cost about £70 (half price of Opt4000), its not the vaportronic, in fact I have no idea what model it is, but its definitely a legit "Vaportek", only for smaller areas than the 4000...

However, I have had no problem with it at all, and it has eliminated odours from my past grow very well (and I believe it does eliminate the odours, not just mask them). It does stink out the room with a sort of hospital smell the day you change the cartridge (neutral), but afterwards that smell dies down and so does any other smell...
I was surprised to see it doesnt work for you Cobo, sorry to hear that
