If you want to jump down the conspiracy rabbit hole head over to /pol on any of the chans. They believe Assange has been killed and alphabet agencies are using high tech methods to pretend he's still alive so people continue leaking to them. It's unlikely that's true but the evidence keeps mounting which is concerning to say the least.
Personally though I believe Assange is an attention whore who knows the world is going mental over his disappearance and probably figures the longer he holds out on revealing himself the more attention both him and wikileaks will receive. In the short term it's super effective because all he has to do is not go to a window to watch the world burn around him but in the long term it betrays the trust people have for wikileaks as it's outright manipulating them so the way I see it he's either been captured/killed and wikileaks taken over by an alphabet agency or he's just killed wikileaks himself. Either way RIP wikileaks
