hardly s4l bro he was under house arrest here in the uk and did an interview with the priminister or president of Ecuador so that was why he tried to get in there,, plus ecuador has a history of granting asylum to certain people..

the charges against him have been cooked up and he shouldnt even be being charged by sweden or america but the eu's bullshit laws just mean they can try and get him extradited over nothing.. Australia have shown no spine because they are just julia gillards little toy poodles now lol,, wonder how they like being blatantly crown property again,, because if they wanted to look after themselves they should stand up for his rights or the future will be glum..

i think the international somewhat hidden "gubmint" wants to seriously shake up "truthers" and "leakers" and the laws we can see being used and created show that..

lots of ex us administration people have publicly stood up and attacked the government and various agencies that work for it in the last 10 years that never could or would have done till now...

i've seen a few interviews between him and some seminal figures this last year whilst he was under house arrest that was shown on RT and i still reserve judgement on what i think of him, but anyway what it looks like is that some of the worlds most blood thristy weapon/war/misery producing sociopathic murderers seem to want him out of the way..

and when my gubmint has a major problem with someone they are usually good people.. its always been that way here but i'm pretty sure yours is the same..

im not convincing you of anything man does seem like your opinion on this is a bit one sided though..

it was leaking information about government/army activities that got him and wikileaks in trouble,, i dont think wikileaks are concerned with the details of citizens or their grows unless someone wanted to leak that somehow but they wouldnt need wikileaks for that because it is mainly for highlighting political/corporate dealings..

i dont care what the government/army says is classified personally even though a substantial amount wasnt technically classified.. if they cant air their dirty laundry out in the open then fuck them they shouldnt be doing what they are doing, colluding against you all and letting hotshot idiots run amok in other peoples countries with heavy weapons.. what is in the darkness has to come out in the light.

The man who famously leaked the Pentagon Papers during the Vietnam War defended both WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and the Army private suspected of providing the site with thousands of sensitive government documents.

Daniel Ellsberg said Thursday that Wikileaks' disclosure of government secrets on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and thousands of diplomatic cables was "exactly the right thing" to do.

"I think they provided a very valuable service," Ellsberg said, also referring to man suspected of leaking the documents, Pvt. Bradley Manning. "To call them terrorists is not only mistaken, it's absurd."

Ellsberg said he frequently hears people praise his 1971 leak of the Pentagon's secret history of the Vietnam War while condemning the WikiLeaks disclosures. The 79-year-old former military analyst rejected that argument, calling Manning a "brother" who, if he indeed provided the documents to WikiLeaks, committed "a very admirable act."

And he said the government is wrong to pursue criminal charges against Assange, comparing him to New York Times and Washington Post journalists who have published information from classified documents.

"Anybody who believes Julian Assange can be distinguished from The New York Times ... is on a fool's errand," Ellsberg said.

ASSange only had whatever info was leaked to him, he could NEVER be 100% aware of all the information of any given situation from start to finish, NEVER. besides only having part of the info on anything he likely only released whatever was inflammatory sounding (bad news sells right?) to fit his agenda, tons of info taken out of context.

He's pulled the wool over any believers eyes imo.

I in large part support what wikileaks do/does, dirty laundry needs to be aired so that people know what their tax dollars are really being used for,

but,

the classified intel Private Manning stole and wikileaks published has gotten people killed

they outed confidential informants, CIA assets ect. people who opposed al-qaeda and the taliban
