Why is Blue dream safe in rain?

Why is Blue dream safe in rain and hearty against mold?
mine is not finished but its HARD! Every node is connected and thick,

Why can it withstand mold?

Im looking at october 13th to the 20th with days of driving rain.
All my veteran grow friends said don't worry about it.

Strain selection done by the breeders that lived in an area that was susceptible to mold/powder mildew. Local growers talk to other local growers and find out what types/strains they have or have had that made it through their type of weather and finished successfully and use that stock to breed with!
Then they can start adding genetics that typically do not do well in their area with the strains that can and do well in that area and make some nice cuts to toke and share! Stay Irie!

I know the year I did bubba it got fucked.

Plan.

Ride out the rain,
nug down the colas
toss in twister trimmer
put in my dry room 43/73F

BD is a sativa dom right? Just make sure to start tying up branches now, before they flop with all the rain you are gonna get. Good Luck

90% Sativa. Branches are tied up well. the tops are insanely HARD.
I might start rolling the Mr nice then roll into the Sativas colas when the rain comes, some orange hairs on them actually. could plump a little in a week.

Blue dream isn't 90% sativa. It's bluerry x santa cruz haze. It's good in the wet for sure.

Oddly I grew DJ short Azure Haze this year (bb x f2 scrz haze) and it was the only one getting mildew

so do people not worry about rain if its tied up?
5 days now pure rain gradual warming up to 60.

My ONLY drama is I fed them yesterday to give them food so now I need 4 days minimum to flush? used 500 gallons water with clearex. Thats 5X more then they ever get. had run off

Now I just need to know General hydro flora at 700ppm wont effect flavor?

GH tech support said dont worry about flushing that much just molasses and hang in there its not like I have them 0-50-30 he said that would really cause problems.

you do not need to worry about the flush trust me most mobile nutrients are being washed away by the rain ..
Its A natural process soil is slowly getting colder plants are excreting different chemical compounds in the soil attracting other microbes etc etc etc flushing unless you hammered it with Chemical nutes and even then it was converted to sugars and starches

Trust me my water bill would be outrageous if i had to flush 100 hectares of one plot let alone the others :) and i use farm grade chems :) 100 times more potent then store bought hydroponic chemical nutes

blue dream melts like a mother fucker , in high humidity , i know that .

normally too late too by time you see it , coming from the inside out and being so dense .
i,m not even seeing why people are saying its good in the rain , you must be talking small amounts , its going to go belly up with any sort of constant rainfall for any sort of duration . IMO<

That's what ya get for growing that boring, generic, girlyboy strain.

My mr nice got rain for two days this year and not one mold, not one single nugget. Everything rock hard.

Its double dream. They are the big size and they are in demand at bay clubs so demand is king, I think its the #1 request.

2 days rain , thats nothing . i thought we were actually talking a weather system , not a wetting the ground and watering the plants .

i stand corrected , dam near anything can take 2 days rain ;) sept the missus hair it hates the shit.

not having a go at you , i laugh about you guys and the rain , you worry about the stuff . lets talk tropical weather systems and if blue dream last a week .

no its a shit load of rain 1.5 inches during harvest and we are taking it down with two twisters.

It SHOULD all be out after two days.

yes im worried. I got bad advice and the plants had been fed GH hydro just yesterday.
flushed today with clearx and molasses.

Im tempted to take the colas out with a 3 day flush.

sorry shitload where i am is like 150/200 mm a day anything up too 5 consecutive days of those totals and your around 450 / 700mm , convert that .

think your fine , couple days , the problem lies if the sun doesnt come out and it remains overcast and the plants don't dry out ,

running 2 twisters , think we going to need pics of these plants ,,

I thought blue dream was ..... Super silver haze crossed with blue berry . But I do agree that blue dream does well in wet areas . Can't say why . Good luck on your harvest
