Why does everyone hate McDonalds?

I'm just sitting here enjoying my double big mac and thinking to myself, shit, where did it all start?

I hear the most ridiculous shit that everyone just believes without bothering to look into it.

McDonalds doesn't;

Use pink slime, Mythbuster Grant did a tour of their factory.

Use horse meat, or other fake meat, There is no registered company anywhere in the world called "100% Pure Beef".

Mash potatoes and form them into fries, or add things to their "mashed up fries". Again, Mythbuster Grant put this to rest.

How come Burger King has never come under fire? Wendy's? A&W? Any other burger chain?

So what's the McDonalds hate all about? aside from the obvious eating too much fast food.

GMO.. is the issue.. Monsanto getting into bed with fast food.. to make cheaper products.. that contain shit that cause addiction and or health problems..

and.. now we are finding that GMO foods.. might have the ability to fuck up our dna.. causing issues when having kids or maybe retarded babies and shite..

I eat WENDYS here and there.. Taco Bell here and there.. but I have switched 90% of my diet.. to home cooked meals.. and when we cook we leave leftovers for lunch the next day.. as its not cheap to cook your own food and it tastes better and I feel better..

you know when u eat.. your not supposed to feel TIRED .. your supposed to get energy and feel good after you eat.. not feel like you wana take a nap.. and then take a crap. lol

gluten.. and GMO. killing the country in secret..

also.. people don't seem to understand the bacteria thing..

our body needs good bacterias.. and we need it for a reason.. lol.

wen we eat or take certain meds.. all the bacterias are killed not just the bad.. and then we need to get it back somehow..

PROBIOTICS make a huge difference in your life. .

And if it's hot n fresh its fuckin delicious :)
So many scare stories about these days, mostly bs... Obviously don't eat it everyday but surely we all know this. Mac d burgers are ground beef/fat at 70/30 mix, no cardboard etc.
I used to work at the slaughter house in my area that supplied them- so I lnos that true

My biggest issue with McDonalds is the amount of salt they use in their food. But Checkers and all the rest do it too. The fries they use come from the same supplier that supplies fries to most of the other chains. The only difference is the oils used for final cooking.

I prefer the taste of Hardees/Carls jr. burgers, but they use a shit ton of salt too. Not really much difference in the ingredients that all the chains use.

Hi all,

trust me, in every restaurant they use a lot of salt because it enhances the taste. Most probably in Mac & co they use more salt, cuzz it is the cheapest way to improve taste. I know this because I sometimes work as kitchen employer.

Then you'll probably know that ground beef simply tastes better with some fat in it. Even if you would order a burger or something with grounded meat in a fancy restaurant it would contain fat.
B.T.W. the fat partly melts out if the burgers are baked.

Ever wonder why their beef tastes a bit diff....it is all in the cuts....fat content etc.

It is the same reason why I can't stand a certain grocery chain's ground beef..... They use frozen hearts...how do I know... My BIL delivers cases of frozen beef hearts to the butcher, and finally asked why they order cases of hearts if they don't sell them out front.... The answer was "Ground beef"....

FYI I have no issue with organ meat(heart, liver, etc), just not my cup of tea

I think their food is out dated and there is just too many better options out there.

Royale with Cheese, lol

Every Chef I've ever worked with painfully admitted to an addiction
to one fast food chain or another.

It's like gastro slumming or something.

Wasn't a nice place to work
Maybe the ingredients are different in the us to in uk then, as there was a high publicity campaign led by a tv chef which succeeded in them changing their recipe here.
"Wood pulp".... A bit misleading there, really... A cellulose anti caking agent (approved as an ingredient) in the buns not the meat.
Bit of a non story really. Imo

They are opening new 'gourmet burger' places round here- burgers made with lean steak £10 per burger.... Taste like shit.
You need fat in ground beef ( or mince,as its called here in uk)
Or it ain't tasty.
