Whos got the best Afghan?

Shmavis

The old Afghan that I have experienced was a very leafy, very dark green, and if you cut it with a scissors it left a black hash on your scissors like pipe resin

And this was the Knock out ...Its like wake up and wonder how you even got to bed

It was resin filled and did not burn in a paper...you need a pipe

Not only did it not burn in paper but it literally oozed the black hash-like resin you mention when you tried to burn in paper. Smear your lips, it would.

And yes, that’s the knockout I seek.

Grew the Sensi Afghani. Man, tall plants for pure Indica...large internode spacing....Took like 65 days flowering, still wasn't dead ripe.....Smoke was very nice, strong stone.....Tasted very good and dried buds you could smell from a very long distance away...very pungent indeed !

@yesum, thanks for the reply. How did you liked them smoke wise? Body stone, couch lock? I have problems with sleeping and im an agitated person so i like something to really put me down in the evening.
Some plants in Afghan Kush line are quite narcotic but some can also be quite boring.
Some plants have top-class stoned effect. Very nice.

They seemed to have changed the parent(s) since the original release of Afghan Kush, cause the earlier seeds look abit different to the later version. I haven't grown any of the "new" seeds yet, only few of the earlier version.
The new version is probably more stable. The old version had some pheno variation; short and tall and in between.

For insomnia i can recommend CBD Critical Cure from Barney's Farm. It's a CBD version of Critical Kush, OG Kush x CriticalMass.
My keeper is the best sleep meds i have had, thou she isn't the most couch lock-y plant i have smoked. Once i fall asleep, it keeps me in sleep surprisingly well.

There is some pheno variation in the line , but you can usually get 5 fem seeds for around 30 euros, so these aren't hugely expensive.

I think some plants in this line, like my keeper, could have nice amounts of myrcene in them; a terpene that will make you sleepy.
You can also make nice combos with the CBD Cure when mixed with your favourite THC-only weed.
CBD-rich plants have milder, yet clearer and calmer effect than THC-only plants. The effect is more like smoking traditional import hash (Moroccan, Leb, Afghan hash) than smoking home grown weed, which will help you relax very nicely before hitting the bed.

The effect isn't as over powering as with THC-only weed.

If you live in the US i have seen some test results for CBD Critical Cure bud, so some shops might sell a plant as flower or you might even find clones of this line if you're lucky. But atleast the seeds are easy to find, and usually some shops have it in discount.

Bad photo but here's my CBD Critical Cure keeper
Fruity, skunky, tangerine aroma. The tangerine comes from Soma's NYCD which is the original source for the CBD-rich genetics.

Coastal and bodhi. Coastal has a bunch of NL#1 crosses to skelly hp, 88g13xhpxnl 1, romulan, 95 black domina. Bodhi has tons with his 88g13hpxnl 1 or old mama Ghani males

The BA was from s@nniesshop, they are out of stock atm but keep an eye out for a restock.

The Mazar was from The real seed co

I remember the mazar from Gypsy shop as a freebie circa 2009. I think gyspy was the breeder but not sure.

it was a great stout plant, the bugs loved it here in the tropics but even covered in aphids is still grew on - most plants would've died or been severely stunted. very resinous, nice thick golfballs nugs nothing special about taste/flavour but i've never cared for hashy stuff.

WISH I KEPT THAT DAMN THING lol - undoubtedly some great breeding genetics.

i grew one indoors, and i agree with you there were some good genetics in there
a real challenge to grow, it wants those original conditions it evolved in, likely dry high altitude, arid, and not very fertile soil
and plenty of time to mature
maybe even more of a challenge than the landrace sativas imho
the source was quoted to be a soldier back from deployment in the region
likely a landrace hash cultivar of some sort

Get few packs of WOS's Afghan Kush. There's some very nice phenos to be wound in those seeds and the seeds are fairly cheap.
Haven't grown the "special" version, but it should be something similar, thou you may find keepers abit easier cause it has been inbred/selected a little
..thou their later seeds of Afghan Kush are abit different looking tan the earlier seeds, so i think they might have done some inbreeding twith the normal Afghan Kush as well.
:)

PS. i accidentaly "liked" your post when i meant to press the quote thumb. Sure it's a nice post but not that nice. joking.

I want help on this topic too.

A friend of mine used to grow "Afghan Haze" and it had the most soaring, clear, focused, controlled, high that lasted a solid 10 hours.

The Holy Man Auto strain is the only description I have found that resembles my experience.

The "Afghan Haze" I smoked made me feel like a holy man so he might have grown this strain and called it Afghan Haze.

Holy Man Auto's overall appearance and color strike me as the same strain.

(Parvati (subtropical mountainous region) x Kerala (equatorial) x Mexican Ruderalis (equatorial)).

Bonus: this is the strain of the Indian Saddhu holy men.
